If Hojbjerg was to leave it'd leave us with :

Bissouma, Sarr, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bentancur, Skipp, Maddison and Devine for 6 positions.

Bentancur is out until the end of the year with no guarantees he'll be back to his best. And considering Bissouma and Sarr will both be away in January we could be looking at a midfield of :

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Skipp, Maddison, Bentancur and Devine to choose from in the new year.... Considering one of, if not both Ndombele and Lo Celso may also move on. We most definitely need another body in there because that's pretty light.

Totally disagreed -

1) It is very possible that there are other players we can use temporarily to bridge the gap - like pushing Kulusevski to MF.
2) Did you even check prior to posting if Mali and Senegal have qualified to the final tournament ?? (bet you did not, but I did and they actually have)
3) You obviously were ignorant enough never to check the dates. In EPL the winter break is 13.01-30.01.2024. AFCON happens in... 13.01-11.02.2024. So unless Mali and Sengal will meet in the final, the impact will be absolutely minimal.

We just play EPL + domestic cups in coming season. And it would be freaking madness to build the squad considering one two-week period in mind. It is as logical as to build all the airports to fit the traffic before Christmas. 90% of the time, everything would be madly overdimentioned just to be in right size for 3 to 5 days a year.

Tosin is expected to cost around £15m, so far less than VDV.

Yep your match checks out.

Is putting Kulusevski as an 8 in a midfield three the new 'Play Foyth as a CDM'?

I didn't but it has been confirmed numerous times that they're both going.

Good news. Let's hope they don't then. Missing Son and Bissouma especially for any length of time would be frustrating.

I don't think it's madness to replace Hojbjerg if he leaves. But each to their own.

Mad how we manage to have the exact same conversations every summer transfer window. You could do a find and replace on VDV, Tapsoba etc. with Kim Min Jae, Bastoni etc. and I honestly wouldn't know the difference.

Here’s an idea, send Kane on loan to psg and they loan us mbappe for a year. Then they both go where ever the fuck they want to this time next year.
