Brennan fucking johnson, just about sums up our owners lack of ambition.
On what level does he improve our starting eleven?
And even if he scores it's then endless TV shots of his old man in the stands grinning like a tramp releasing piss down his trouser leg...
 
45m for Johnson. Ffs. Do we never learn. This would be 50m for Richarlison all over again.

He’s not good enough as a finisher/hold up guy to play striker and not smart or tricky enough to play wide.

Go and get one decent fucking quality player who has a proven skill set, proven productivity, who will improve our team/system.

Mitoma, Eze. Tapsoba eg

Anything left spend on 20m Tyler Adams or Manu Koné so we have a designated 6.

I'd rather we didn't sign Johnson as well but he is good enough as a finisher.
 
There's a whiff of Ryan Sessegnon about Brennan Johnson, IMO.

Bossed the Championship as a young starlet, stayed with the team he got promoted with, then just kinda didn't quite look like the supertalent that had been billed once exposed to the higher talent level.

Not sure how 45M equates to a lack of ambition. He improves nothing as you say.

Points to a lack of actual common sense or business/football knowledge not ambition.

It's quite sad that we've accumulated a bunch of average saps who rather sit here on their elevated wages than take less and get game time.

As I type that, I can't say i'd turn down a big salary to do nothing but just shows the state of our past recruitment.

The one I can't understand is Hugo. How and why is he still here?

My comment on the fans view of the players is exactly the point.

I'll simplify it for you with a question:
Isn't it interesting that if you'd asked Spurs fans to draw up a list of outgoings back in June it would basically mirror the current transfer list post-Ange "review"?

Your Dier comment proves my point. Any Spurs fan would have had him on the transfer list on June 1st. And now he looks to be there come mid-August.

Ange could have just read the forum and saved himself the hassle.

I already explained why your attempt to include Perisic and Gio in that bunch is flawed.
 


Paredes for 4 million is an absolute steal.

Sanches on those terms isn’t half bad either.

Very solid business from Roma.
I would take Paredes at Spurs for that price in a heart beat. Would be an excellent option as a ball playing 6.
