Not really.

The clause all clubs want is an option to buy at an agreed price.

If Ansu Fati has a great season and we have no agreed purchase price, then Barca reap the benefits when he returns to them.

If he has a rubbish season, then we simply don't exercise the option to buy.

Obligations to buy are different. They're just a ruse to delay paying the permanent transfer fee.
Yeah fair.

Loan with option the absolute best case.

Really, for his sake, hope he has a good season at Elland Road. Maybe he could come back next season as part of the squad, would certainly do us a favour with HG quota. I hate to think where last season has put him mentally, so much of football is confidence and after being brought in and ignored for 6 months then shipped off to France it's easy to see his could be through the floor right now, and clearly with 2 other senior RBs Ange has too many to keep happy this season.

I don’t get our total inability to sell any of the players that we don’t want. The best we ever seem to achieve is to get a few out on loan but all that’s doing is kicking the can down the road because they’ll all be back at the end of the season. Even the Saudi’s don’t seem interested in any of our deadwood ffs.

Unfortunately, I can see this window ending like every other window with Levy leaving us 2 or 3 players short of what we need for us to push on. All it will take is 2 or 3 injuries to players in key positions & we will be in trouble

What deadwood have the Saudis been interested in from anyone?

We over value all our players and pay them too highly. So any club wanting to sign our players takes a hit on the fee and then even harder on wages

Still see some people want perisic gone? That’s insane his output is great and his delivery is second to none. Extremely useful player to have!

What was your expectation at the start of the window?
Problem is the same as every window Levy.

We have chased and failed to sign so many players over the years that would have taken us to the next step. Then this summer we also sold our greatest ever goal scorer and have done zero business since then it baffles me. We are short all over the place and still have the same unreliable squad members like Davies, Sanchez and Dier on our books.
