Sadly during the 90's and early 2000's we were generally in the bottom half of PL table.

Highlight of the season at that time seemed to be in April to check we had got more than 40 points to avoid relegation.

2005/06 broke the mould finishing 5th - our highest finish in 20 years - four years after ENIC bought spurs.

And since then our AVERAGE position has been about 4th or 5th. With European football most seasons.

So a huge change.

Always room for improvement - but for example we had about 7 years finishing above Liverpool, and same for Woolwich and ManU which is a decent standard.

I'm very much aware of the truth fella..... Sadly the individuals that made and liked the preceding post would rather lie to themselves and others in the name of their poisonous little agenda.

It’s like telling someone stick your dick in a hornet’s nest or be motorboated by a couple of DD titties.

The point the posters countering the negativity are making is not that everything is rosy. It's that it's not as shit as Les Miserables are making it out to be. The issue with Les Miserables is that, if you don't agree with their negative attitude, you're a happy clapper. Just as if you counter some ott claim about ENIC, you're a Levy cocksucker. It's black or white. No fucking in between. I wonder how some manage to get through life like that.
Just fine , but thanks for asking though

Dont worry guys, these Levybots love to pipe up every summer to hail Levy a genius. Its where they do some of their most impressive mental gymnastics. Especially when theres a new manager.

But believe me as much they pretend to praise Ange, there are already typing out paragraphs to save for later about how “Anges tactics are wrong, Levy backed him, please save us Levy” routine bullshit when the inevitable collapse happens.

Quote just one post hailing Levy as a genius. Just one.

One of the falacies in the story is that Lewis appointed 2 lawyers in Bermuda as proxies to make decisions on Spurs on his behalf last year.

So minimal chance of Lewis making a phone call

Exactly. Lewis has zero legal say in the running of the club now. The story has so many holes in it. Probably all dreamed up by that Neil Ashton at Man Utd and circulated to his Man Utd journo mates. They don’t have the money this window to buy him and are just trying to make it look like they are active. I suspect the PSG stories have a lot more weight.

Can Son play LW in Ange's system? Ange generally wants his wingers to stay wide and be able to beat their man, and Son really doesn't do well in a position like that, as we saw last season when Conte used him like more of a traditional winger. If he can't, we'll need to move him to the forward position, and probably buy another LW, unless we're keeping Perisic I guess.

Richy also played a lot of LW at Everton as Calvert Lewin was starting #9 when healthy.

The point isn’t that we improved from below 10th to 5th. No one in their right mind can dispute that (although some here have tried).
It’s about the missed opportunities if we could only have been bought by someone else. If only we had been bought by a Time Machine inventor who transported us back to 1960 then we could have won the double every year. Curse that bald bastard!

Flippant and off-topic. I might card myself.
Can’t stand the keyboard hard knock s

Great post. Agreed.

Those talking of greatness by going to a team that always win the Bundesliga are living in fantasy land.

Personally I will be cheering on all Bayern opponents in the CL, apart from other English clubs, where I will be neutral.

The chances for silverware have been there, be that for us, where the great Kane has been supposedky surrounded by dross and yet the same with England's best. Common denominator???

The only answer is to go to near certainties. What a joke really.

And nope, I am certainly not angry but it's just a strange move, which I doubt will be this raging success some think it will be.

But yep, sooner gone now the better..
Great post agreed esp the superb use of the English language.
