Dont worry guys, these Levybots love to pipe up every summer to hail Levy a genius. Its where they do some of their most impressive mental gymnastics. Especially when theres a new manager.

But believe me as much they pretend to praise Ange, there are already typing out paragraphs to save for later about how “Anges tactics are wrong, Levy backed him, please save us Levy” routine bullshit when the inevitable collapse happens.

Exactly. Lewis has zero legal say in the running of the club now. The story has so many holes in it. Probably all dreamed up by that Neil Ashton at Man Utd and circulated to his Man Utd journo mates. They don’t have the money this window to buy him and are just trying to make it look like they are active. I suspect the PSG stories have a lot more weight.
 
Can Son play LW in Ange's system? Ange generally wants his wingers to stay wide and be able to beat their man, and Son really doesn't do well in a position like that, as we saw last season when Conte used him like more of a traditional winger. If he can't, we'll need to move him to the forward position, and probably buy another LW, unless we're keeping Perisic I guess.

Richy also played a lot of LW at Everton as Calvert Lewin was starting #9 when healthy.

Those talking of greatness by going to a team that always win the Bundesliga are living in fantasy land.

Personally I will be cheering on all Bayern opponents in the CL, apart from other English clubs, where I will be neutral.

The chances for silverware have been there, be that for us, where the great Kane has been supposedky surrounded by dross and yet the same with England's best. Common denominator???

The only answer is to go to near certainties. What a joke really.

And nope, I am certainly not angry but it's just a strange move, which I doubt will be this raging success some think it will be.

I dont think 09/10 to 18/19 were shit. I loved most of it. However league postions used to fluctuate much more than they have done for the last 20 years or so. Its why we can be as bad as last season and finish 8th, or 7th under AVB/Sherwood or Man Utd finishing 6th 2 seasons ago when they were dreadful, or Woolwich two 8th places when they looked like a relegation team.

Since about 1950 we've basically had 2 dreadful spells, 1974 to 1980 and 1992 to 2005. I started supporting us in the first and was a season ticket throughout the second and bar the last 3 months of 21/22 there isnt much difference from those times to the last 4 seasons. We wont get relegated or have a relegation fight but in terms of mid table and poor football there are similarities.

So expectations being constantly held up against arguably the worst, certainly dullest period in our history is off the mark imo. We're a great club and should have the highest standards (thats before we get started on ticket prices)
