That’s perfect hindsight.

No. KMJ’s profile in 2020 in Korea wasn’t close to what it is now and it’s still not within a mile of Sonny’s profile.
I’ve yet to see a single billboard of him. A single TV Ad featuring him or a single K-Drama mention him.
Still a better option than Joe Rodon, who we signed to his detriment as well as ours. I like the lad but it wasn’t Daniel’s finest business or commercial decision.

Agreed.
But that’s perfect hindsight.
KMJ may well become Korea’s next superstar and a marketing machine — but none of that was obvious when he was playing in Beijing.
If he had gone down the N’Jie path, we’d be moaning about another cheap punt gone wrong.

Sorry, Autistic and I am not getting this.

Is someone having a dig at spurs?
It's pointing out the difference in attitudes, same player different clubs.

They player goes to Spurs and everyone takes the piss asking who he is?

He goes to Brighton and everyone lauds them for unearthing these talents constantly.

Might even be a dig at Spurs fans, who want us to do what Brighton do but also complain whenever we sign a relative unknown.

Took me a little while to see what it was getting at too, it's not very well presented tbf.

I makes us a bit light up front if Kane leaves before the Brentford game (otherwise he said he's staying) because we'd only really have Son and Richarlison that can play as a CF,

What if one of them gets injured, do we hang onto Scarlett as an emergancy CF?
If Kane goes we'll sign a striker before the end of the window that actually comes immediately, whether it's this one or another one.

The "bulk up" thing was a joke, It's a cliché that bugs me.

Look at this malnourished wastrel. Arms like knitting needles. Really needs to bulk up. Best we swerve...

Said the same thing about Modric, Bale...

Infact, I think one of the problems with English football is that we too often look over magicians, just because people claim they are too small etc

Bale bulked up massively and you are delusional if you think that it didn’t play any part in what he went on to become.
I didn't say he didn't bulk up, I specifically said this happens to lots of players as they naturally age and develop, or work to trying and avoid further injuries.

What I said is there is a common misconception that bulking up is all that is needed in some players. It's not.

Bale was making it anyway, he was great at Southampton but the big money move and pressure that came with it had a massive impact, that and the extra shite in the media. Once he turned a corner there was no stopping him, this happened way before he turned into the machine we saw at RM.

Awesome, thanks

I think some people want us to purchase well known classy players like big clubs do, rather than act like Brighton. I'm not saying it bothers me but it seems to bother some people.

Back to the Mourinho days, what a shambles of a window.

As opposed to moaning about Joe Rodon’s career trajectory? He was hardly a ready made premier league player when we bought him for more than KMJ- and still isn’t. Having spotted the potential in both, the club made the wrong decision. It happens.
It’s a repeating theme though. Our decision making is poor (glad you raised N’Jie as another great example)
We complain that we don’t have the bottomless pockets of some clubs but we are still careless in how it’s spent.
Winning is harder when you squander money on bad decisions or choose to spend nothing at all when the club is on the cusp.

I think it's fuelled by frustrations with current gaps in the team. Personally I like signing prospects, I don't even mind the loaning them back, but i'm wanting the problems we can all see sorted first. We seemed to have ignored these for far too long
