Porro is a fantastic player for a wingback system, for which he was bought, and it's way too early to call Richarlison either way.
I may be in the minority here, but I'd rather we spent big on Eze than buy Orban.
25, English, experienced in the Prem. Importantly could cover Maddison, Son and Kulu injuries if needed. Sort of player us fans would love and really get behind.
Maybe Ange will pick his RB according to the opponent. Porro is the worst defender at a club full of bad defenders but you probably aren’t going to need much defense against Luton. And neither will you with Porro. Royal or Porro in a front foot aggressive possession based team? Porro for me. Royal isn’t this great defender that he’s made out to be. I do think he’s better defensively than Porro but 65 % of the game we will be attacking. Porro is quicker, better touch, better passer, better in tight areas, better crosser and will chip in with more goals.
In pre season Porro has played 2 x 45 mins and he needs time to get used to the system the same as the rest. He was signed as a RWB and I think he’d be very good at RW but he will still be a very good player for us at right back.
Of course. But do we do think Levy is going to drop the best part of £130m in the next two weeks?Exactly, Eze, Orban and a centre back needed. Wouldnt say no to another proper right sided winger either.
Agree completely. But we just know Levy won't go that big on top of what we've already done.I am with you to an extent. But this club particularly after selling Kane and soon Hojbjerg and others should be able to easily afford Eze, Orban and Tapsoba, that might be £150m all combined which is basically covered by sales. You can say we ain’t Chavs or City fine but Arse who ain’t doped can go big when needed.
All players have limited potential thoughI’d rather not spend a massive amount on a decent striker that has limited potential.
I mean he was left out the match day squad!
That’s him already at 4th choice CB
Have some pride and move on
Anyone with half a brain cell knew he wasn’t going to re-sign.But why were we spending 40m for a WB system when we knew Conte had one leg out the door and in 6 months everything could change and we already had a 20m WB out on loan?
Because they wanted to back Conte, and hoped it would calm him down. But why were we spending 40m for a WB system when we knew Conte had one leg out the door and in 6 months everything could change and we already had a 20m WB out on loan?

No, they’re not. They’re generally a shit investment.
No it wasn’t.
Rumours are that a good portion will be held back to bid for Toney in the next window.Of course. But do we do think Levy is going to drop the best part of £130m in the next two weeks?
Why aren't the Glaziers ripping people's hands off to take a massive profit then? No, they’re not. They’re generally a shit investment.
The EPL has been a very good investment for long-term owners that have held through fairly explosive growth. I’m not sure they will continue to be without some wholesale changes in league structure.
