£70M is an ask for 'could be' though, especially when we paid £40M for 'is.'
But 40M was below his market price. We don’t need to achieve lowest possible price in every deal…. Getting a few great value signings like Bissouma, Maddison, Udogie etc means you can overpay for your prime target and it still nets out as good deals aggregated

I just don’t know any more. He’s not the Kane replacement and we obviously aren’t going down that route. I can see us going for him if Forest can take a player too. That would help everyone out. Not the fancy foreign name lots would want though.
Many of us were pretty skeptical about Vicario and VDV. They've both come in and looked pretty good. We've bought some shockers over the years, but let's trust the current plan and the new data driven model the club has adopted.

I admittedly haven’t watched a ton of forest games, but whenever I’ve seen Johnson, he hasn’t really been impressive.

He’s basically just young and fast and a lot of people think that means he’s a great prospect. But Dan James was also young and first… and many others like him.

I would not be too excited about this.

Prefer him to Gift. Hopefully it's part of a player swap.
This is true actually, spending £50m on Johnson would be much better than the rumored fee climbing up into the £35m range for Orban. I have really soured on Orban as I’ve watched two of his recent games in full. What purpose does a 5’9” CF who has never won a header in his life and isn’t at all involved in build-up have in the Premier League?

Johnson’s profile is excellent, really - well sized, right sided wing forward who can play across the 3, excellent pace and burst, exuberant runs in behind, proven goal-assist record in England, only 22 - and importantly, homegrown.

His performance is not. He doesn’t have the required technical capability, the top footballing brain and instincts, the vision and creativity to play in tight spaces, nor is he really a top dribbler who can beat players with skill, he just sort of runs into space.

The problem is, why exactly are Forest only pricing him at £50m if he’s so important to them, and why exactly does he never really seem to impress in small spaces?

Well he's assuming by great I meant win the league, a Top 4 finish and a cup would constitute a great season but it's also true that perhaps Man City are the most vulnerable they've been for some time.

To Dare is to.....what?

Im excited to see what impact Soloman can have and also if any of our academy players can get minutes and shine.

I am daring to be positive about the season.
