Based on his recent performances, I can see why many think he's worth a punt
No way is he worth £50M! His good as diaby at villa? Think his scored twice now this season. Johnson has not scored any.. some on here did t want diaby. However would they now rather have than Johnson and would have cost a lot less.

Orban, Johnson, and a young backup CB and you’d really feel like the squad is mostly rebuilt for the Ange era. Job wouldn’t be fully done, but the age profile would be so much better to build a dominant side under Ange over the next 5 years.

Again repeating myself how dies his pace fit into Ange all. Unless his very good at beating players in a small space his pace won’t be much use. On the counter yes but if we are playing deep in the oppo half you need good technical skills and the ability to beat a man in small space. Can Johnson do this or is he speedy only when there is 70yards of grass to run into?
Think £50M be better spent on a top quality CB. Plus I’d rather get a proper CF rather than another winger. You could even pay Gio or Maddison where kulu plays. Alternative would be to play son and new cf as front two with madd behind. Then playe a more solid midfield say Biss Saar and PEH. Then let FBs really push up.
