Dont do it.

Steven Bergwijn looked muuccchh better then this kid when he was at PSV and we all know how he turned out in England.

Bergwijn was converted by Mourhino into a 'defensive right winger' similar to a RWB - total change of position from a forward - as it fitted his 'system' requirements which was based upon defence.

Not an attractive change for a forward so he (understandably) wanted out.

Looks like the most noise is there for:

Out
Dier
Reguillon
Sanchez
Tanaganga

IN
Tosin
Johnson

What would most people make of that to close the window?
If Kane was still here you'd have to say that was a really good window. Added young players, reduced the age of the squad by a fair bit and the new signings have decent abilty. But not really trying to replace Kane, even with a non like for like, is a massive gamble. I'd hope we can get Lloris, Spence and Ndombele out as well.

Poor. We need 4 CB’s who can play high line so losing Sanchez for Tosin still leaves us 1 short and reliant on little injury for the season. Be surprised if we can use Philips yet despite his speed and size, just too young and Dier and Tanganga might as well put the cones out.

In attack Richarlison and Son can fight for ST with Perisic and Solomon on the left and Kulusevski and Johnson on the right. Not perfect but ok.

Expect the transfer activity to accelerate this week. Tosin was on bench for fulham yesterday. Might be a swap with dier. Johnson from forest and a last minute rabbit out the hat would be good. Best last minute transfer we had was van der vaart for 8m. Quality.

It seems too late now but we really could have done with a proper attacking signing similar to how Udogie and VDV have come in and been so good straight away.

The rest of the team looks rejuvinated with new blood, but the attack looks so lacklustre and lacking energy.

I feel like Maddison was our Kane replacement.

Not a striker but he’s the new focal point. And it’s made us a different team.

Lloris is def going you are right. Tanguy and Spence? Let’s see they both seem harder to do.

I’m still wondering about Barca and Fati. Feel like they need him to go and need a player like Lo Celso…
We’d need to replace Gio if that happened though

We def need 2 CBs if Dav goes

Think it atleast freshens up the squad adds another attacking option while gets rid of 4 who most want out.

Tosin there for competition.

Only 3 options at CB seems light, unless Phillips, Dorrington to be drafted in if needed and Davies as Emergency depth.

I still hope there will be more outs.

It's not great though.

I don't think many expected them to do as well as this straight away.

Maddison fits that description though......... A "proper" "attacking" signing ready to hit the ground running.

The rest of the team looks rejuvinated with new blood, but the attack looks so lacklustre and lacking energy.

Tbh the only name in the mix that got people jazzed was RK Muani..... And PSG's interest pissed all over that idea.....

That said; he's STILL at Frankfurt.

It’d be like a 7.5/10 window overall. The backline is fully updated to play Ange’s style in bringing in two rapid CBs, a keeper who can play the ball, and introducing Udogie to the 11. That’s very commendable considering the shitshow our backline has been.

Midfield looks really good with the addition of Maddison and Sarr/Bissouma getting bigger roles.

Front three feels like a bit of a let down considering Kane has departed, but I would feel very good about the additions of Solomon, Johnson, and Veliz. We needed to get younger up front and they all seem very positive young players to me. For this season we’ll sink or swim with the form of Son, Richarlison, and Kulusevski.

Feels like we’re probably setting up to spend big next summer on a forward player when we hopefully have Europe, more pull after a successful season under Ange, and a better sense of where we should allocate big money. This year is still a bit transitional.
