Johnson can play up top as well.
Could we play Son and Johnson up top with Kulu and Perisic as wide men in midfield?

If you could convince me of Johnson as a solution to the Richarlison Problem I'd be more intrigued.

It remains the case though, as proven by Richarlison, that a player at that price point needs to be a core, success-driving asset in the squad, or the move is a disaster that will be an albatross for years that we ruefully regret.

I really really really don't want to spend half the Kane money on that kind of outcome.

Looking at Gallagher again if Hojbjerg leaves apparently. Not sure how I feel about that.

Gallagher and Johnson for almost 90 mill on deadline day

Imagine the scenes :ange-lol:

Could his better service be a solution to the Richy problem?

Richarlison isn't an albatross. Ndombele is an albatross, and that's more because of his wages and his attitude rather than the fee we paid for him. Johnson doesn't need to be a world beater to be a decent transfer, he'd need to be decent. Being HG means we'll have more flexibility in the market in the future, a couple of more HG players coming in (particularly from the academy) and we could move Davies and Skipp to Luton or Norwich or anywhere else they'd fit in better.
