Well you're 1 for 1 with your van de Ven criticism.

So I'm all for Fati now after this post.
At least VdV had a clear position to play.

Ansu is a small right footed left-winger in the Son profile who is more inside forward/second striker than real winger, he’s not great with take-ons, and if we only get him on loan how will we be sure his head will be in it? Is he going to bench Son? Perisic has also been good with lots of assists in preseason and two this year as well.

Signing him would give us 5 right footed left wingers by my count (including Richy) and 0 actual right wingers.

OK, i get it now - yes, 80% of news is clickbait and it is insufferable.
80%????

Oh hell yeah, this would be a great signing for Chelsea.

They're just so much more ambitious than us it hurts.

You can see why Pochettino went there. Sort term it's a bit of a mess but if he can get them back into the CL, that would be a good season and could lead to even better tings next year.

We're relying on Ange being a miracle worker, doesn't seem fair to me.

I was hoping we'd make a late move for Palmer but seems he's off to the Chavs.

Agree

Nah, mate.

Unfortunately there's too many people who aren't prepared to do anything about it except whinge and moan on a forum.

I think both are true.

Too many ppl countering the narrative that the ownership is not likely to succeed, diluting the spread of a unified message of "this isn't good enough" from the fans.

And also agree, too many ppl either can't be bothered or don't have the time to proactively protest

Johnson can play up top as well.
Could we play Son and Johnson up top with Kulu and Perisic as wide men in midfield?

If you could convince me of Johnson as a solution to the Richarlison Problem I'd be more intrigued.

It remains the case though, as proven by Richarlison, that a player at that price point needs to be a core, success-driving asset in the squad, or the move is a disaster that will be an albatross for years that we ruefully regret.

I really really really don't want to spend half the Kane money on that kind of outcome.
