Wonder if he is waiting for us.

Standard reporting we wont go for him

The England midfielder has now entered the final year of his Chelsea deal, and could have a wider set of interested clubs on the table as a free agent next year. Chelsea have been prepared to sell Gallagher all summer however, and Tottenham had retained long-term interest but are not now expected to press for a deal.

About a year now since Kane left and still no effort to replace him. I think we would score lots more with a proper CF and it's a big mistake just patching up with winger/forward types. It also seems weird not to upgrade a central midfield that got overrun in so many games last year. Are we trusting the new 18 year olds to dominate in the PL?

We have Sarr who can do all the running and pressing he gives us and should increase his goal involvement this year too.

Then we have Bergvall coming through who is a totally different stratosphere technically to Gallagher.

If he replaces Skipp or Bentancur for depth then fine but even then he’s going to demand massive wages

Currently though Gallagher is better than all of them.

Just how Klopp loved Henderson for his leadership, work rate and raising standard on the pitch, I think Ange wants similar in Gallagher.

I hope you're right.

Neto + Eze would transfer the quality of our attack. Both players that can progress with the ball and beat their man not just turn over possession.

How you fit Son/Eze/Maddison into the same side is another question though.

You don’t need to fit them all in one side and they won’t all be available at the same time very often anyway.

You let them compete to prove they need to start and you rotate them so you have a chance to be competitive in multiple competitions

Age, potential, development curve.

He’s not 22 until September. Thinking he’s not going to improve is pretty far-fetched
That only applies to some extent though, personally I don't feel I've seen anything from Sarr to suggest he'd ever become a big goal threat or creative asset.

His strengths are all physical, the rest of his game is tidy at best.

That's not to say he won't improve the other aspects of his game, but it's far from a certainty.

If it was as simple as linear trajectory then all footballers would be better and better each year, it's just not the case though.

I'd expect more goals from him if his striking of the ball wasn't about as venomous as Aaron Lennon on Kalms.

Don't you realise we have got Richarlison a player who cannot hold up ball and was injured most of last season. This is why we are going to win the League.

Don't you realise how foolish the Scum are they finished second last season for the second year in the row and try to sign Established Pro's that go/compete for the first XI. They are also being heavily linked to Gyokeres. They should be signing wingers from the South Korean League that don't arrive until January and may not get Work Permit.

2 (huh)??

Biss does not have the same defensive skillset and distribution and cannot slot seamlessly/comfortably into a back 3 on recovery.

That's key.

That's the advantage in certain tough games.

Also, the "world class CB" who cannot be moved argument is paper thin.

We shipped over 60 goals with him there.

Largely, because we didn't have a heavyweight security measure sitting in.

Until we get that, we should absolutely consider him as a stop-gap in certain games.

If we didn't play arse-out football, it wouldn't be as desperate a situation as it is.

You get the idea.
That allows Ange his rock n' roll without the backdoor wide open.

I absolutely don't expect him to do it, of course.

But it would be much more balanced than kamikaze attacking and benny hill defending.
We are supposed to have top centre backs and full backs but we let over 60 goals in. Something doesn’t add up . Can see Micky at left back if Udogie still out. Drag looks a big hard bastard, just what we need

Then you aren’t looking at the same things I’m looking at.

Just because he’s an elite athlete doesn’t mean he’s not technical. Usually being an elite athlete leans people towards not seeing the technical side of a players game.

It’s been obvious for a while Chelsea were throwing our name out there to drum up insterest and pump the price.

They need to sell him and we were probably interested for one summer until we clocked what they are up to
I'm amazed at the people who so enthusiasticly buy in. We are the club any fool chucks out to muddy the water when trying to get a bump for their clients. Gallagher loves Chelsea historically we have real issue with them. Unless Levy can screw them to the wall, and on this he has my 100% backing, and leave them bleeding we are not giving them multiple millions.
