How Dry should our Powder be?

Why didn’t we go for players like midfielder kone, the centre forward from Spain forget his name now begins with D went for €25M, the ex palace forward Alexander, etc.
none of these would have broke the bank. The recruitment team have signed gray who Brentford were about to sign, solanke who no one wanted and was so late, oddebert again so late from relegated Burnley,
Yang who is still with his club. Berg was bought in Jan. so what exactly have they been scouting? Was this what Ange meant when he said they had identified their targets and had a plan. Total bollocks. No one really improves the starting 11 bar solanke and that is bcos he’s may be a little better than rich. Who by the way is out again a complete waste of £60M. We are still starting with Johnson so our forward line has not been improved like Ange said he wanted.
Ange has been on the Kool Aid.

Gone from talk of title challenges and pots in his second season to claiming he's been backed with 18 year olds and the return of Djed Spence.

I just hope he keeps this energy and doesn't blame the fans again when we don't win anything.

So thats it then, stuck with Reggie unless we can offload him to Saudi or Turkey in the next couple of weeks.

Happy with signing the youngsters, not sure on Solanke but obviously hope he's good, Werner a shocker. No new keeper, left sided defender or first team right winger has been the fuck up imo.

Slightly more suited younger squad and technically better but for this season we've barely shifted the dial and a couple of bad injuries to defenders or keeper and we're stuffed. Just cant see we have the experience or depth to cope with 50+ games. Might be seen as a good window in 2 or 3 years i suppose.

Overall 4/10 and that's helped by the fact we've shifted a lot of the shite

More or less panned out as expected. It would be an incredible achievement to finish fourth with this squad, but I wouldn't count on it. Personally I'm more looking forward to the cups and especially the Europa League, which should be a big priority!

I can't understand the complacency when basically the same group wasn't good enough last season, and when you've finished in the Champion's League places 1 out of the last 5 years.

"We'll run (more or less) the same team out that didn't succeed last year , grow the youngsters up on the training ground gradually, and do some wise business shipping failed players out. And if all goes well maybe we can compete for European football... where our ambitions again won't match those of the teams surrounding us" ...

This is slop you'd dish up to supporters of the Spam or some other mid-table club that doesn't harbor any delusions about winning trophies, not a big club as we feel we are
We'll never actually be a big club while the board doesn't prioritise winning things. It really is that simple.

Sterling is an annoying shithead that runs like a little girl and has a permanent whiny cunt expression on his face. And now he's the latest Chav to Woolwich export, he just knows how to make me dislike him further

Tbh mate I think we’re right not to blow all our money on overpriced players to try and push to win now. That’s tough to hear but it’s true. We are nowhere near.

Annoyingly though I think he will be better for them cunts than Chelsea, probably look a lot more like the player City sold when he's playing in an actual system that's been thrashed out for longer than 5 minutes on the back of a fag packet.

Still not the player they needed though - just a typical Woolwich signing.

If they’d signed a clinical finisher this summer I would have turded myself
