Jose is looking for a LB.

Fenerbahçe's other route at left back is Belgium. The negotiations with Gent for Archie Brown have not yielded any results so far. The Blue-Whites have not backed down on their €12 million transfer request for the 22-year-old player, who Mourinho gave the green light to. The Yellow-Navy Blues had recently increased their offer to €8+2 million. Brown is extremely eager for the clubs to reach an agreement and continue his career at Fenerbahçe. However, for this to happen, either the Yellow-Navy Blues or Gent need to take a serious step regarding the figure. Fenerbahçe may leave the table for this transfer by giving the Belgian team one last go today.

Gold:
The Turkish window is a busy one and still has until September 13 to run. Besikitas have been linked with making a move for Reguilon in recent days. While at Tottenham, Jose Mourinho signed Reguilon and is now the Fenerbahce manager, so could he look at his former player?

I don't know Gold, you're the reporter, why are you asking us?

Would have been nice to give them Reguilon in exchange for Oosterwolde. Who'd have been the perfect van de Ven depth.

Window closes:

Greece: September 11

Russia and Armenia: September 12.

September 13: Turkish transfer window closes on the same day as Serbia’s.

Azerbaijan: September 16

Israel: September 18.

Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s now heard about Sergio Reguilon’s Tottenham future

Sergio Reguilon isn’t desperate to leave Tottenham

Romano shared what he knows about Reguilon.

“Yeah there are some players still looking for moves. Ben Chilwell and Sergio Reguilon as you mentioned, nothing is really close or concrete with these two. In the case with Reguilon I am told that he’s not desperate for a move,” Romano said.

“Either there is a good opportunity or he will be there fighting for a place at Tottenham. Chilwell is completely different because Chilwell is out of the project at Chelsea,” Romano said.

That's just the culture at the club, at least with the previous "generation", see: Dier, Lloris.

Looking at Villa they seem to have bought well. Digne at LB would have been a good purchase not sure why we weren’t interested at the time. But Rodgers for £9M seems a steal!

Digne is aged 31 and no better than 31 year old Davies who given limitations on squad numbers he's have had to replace. So no thanks.

Rogers or Odobert - Ange went for 19 year old PL experienced Odobert v 22v tear old Championship experienced Rogers.

Time will tell but I've no complaints on Ange choosing the younger guy proven at a higher level.

We cannot buy them all and sometimes Villa will buy well - but if we buy better its of no consequence
