Who is high up the pitch doesn't matter, because the system calls for players covering each other's position when said position gets vacated. That takes a while to learn and get used to. The system is not the problem. It's the application and the right player profile. And you're not going to get either after just one season.

With Bilbao because everyone is homegrown and they pay a minuscule amount for transfers, they actually pay their players very well. Man Utd took 2 years to get Ander Herrera for example.

Eze was never going to happen. The club cannot sanction a lump sum payment in that amount. The issue with the RC was that it all needs to be paid up front.
