Yeah, sure, Spurs will go for yet another right-footed wide forward :D
And he's on a free - with a free attitude problem in the bargain  And he's apparently a "world class free agent" 🤔

Tottenham should sign ‘world class’ free agent to provide cover for Dominic Solanke

Tottenham should sign Memphis Depay

The transfer window slammed shut on August 30th but clubs can still sign players from the free-agent market.

So, Tottenham should seriously consider signing Memphis Depay, who’s out of contract after leaving Atletico Madrid in July.

It’s already become evident that Postecoglou’s side needs more depth up front and Memphis’s versatility would certainly aid their ranks.

The 98-cap Netherlands international can operate as a centre-forward, off both flanks and even in the number 10 role.

Would have this guy every day over Richarlison for cover for Solanke.

Still surprised we were not in the race to sign Antonio Nusa.

He has had a flying start at Red Bull Leipzig, and would probably compete for game time with our wingers from day one

Didn't he turn us down in favour of Brentford?

I don't know, usually when a club gets rejected by a player, they walk away and don't come back.

It's pride and a position of principle. You get rejected and say good luck to you and move on. I think it would be weird if Spurs then made another attempt to sign him 6 months later, it just doesn't happen. People's ego's get bruised etc and you move on to other targets who actually want to join your club.

Except I think this story is not accurate?

I think Tottenham eventually backed off first round because they were conserned about his back problem? I know Sky reported he "chose Brentford" over us, but I don't think that was what happened. I will try to look up an interview with Norwegian media where these issues were discussed.

If your take is correct, I can understand why we were not interested this time around

Red Bull’s Bern Pansold will dope him up so much that he outperforms the levels he would have achieved anywhere else. They will then sell him for a ridiculous amount and he will drop off a cliff in performance just like the majority of their player sales.

Good prospect though, so who knows, maybe we should have bought a player who failed his medical.

Steve parish talking about Eze makes it seem like they were reluctantly willing to let him leave but there was ZERO concrete interest.

I can't believe we didn't pull the trigger on that one.
