Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bit of a strange headline for a “knock”.

Shame though, as judging by the training game, he was due to start the first half group.
Pure clickbait.

Tanguy suffered a knock in training.

No suggestion of a long term injury, such as the cruciate tear that Fofana suffered, leading an already desperate Poch to try to splash more Boehly consortium cash on Slabhead Maguire.

As much as I'd like to get him off the books, the gamble that Ange can squeeze something out of him is worth more than €8M.
Their improved offer is still a piss-take but, as long as they’re paying his full freight in wages, I’d take it, Their highest paid players are Zaha, Zaniolo and Mertens and none of them make close to N’Dombele so I’m skeptical that they can make that work.
However, it’s more than £20m in wages off the books. So a net of nearly £27m.

Won’t some Saudi team take him off our hands. Take him to Riyadh for free - Just cover his wages. Please.

probelm is Levy won't look at it as wage savings he will look at the £50+m we paid for him,

€8M.....spread over years...

:levylol:

Yes, if Ange can get a consistently top class tune out of Ndombele, then that is worth more than 8 million whatevers.

But there's also Tanguy's 200k per week salary. I assume the transfer fee is low because Galastasary would pay all (or almost all) his wages.

Similarly, Perisic is on around 180k per week IIRC. He'd be a good squad option, but if he's 3rd choice LW behind Son & Solomon, that salary is excessive & it's better to get it off the books.

who would buy him, even on a free they would have to pay him the wages we contracted to (otherwise we would have to pay some of it)
not a lot the club can do to him if he fills his side of contract so club needs to make him train at ackward times etc without giving him reason to take legal action against club
we have to make him break his contract to stop paying his wages
