Remember that game at home where rose was sent off and city were awarded a penalty for a legitimate tackle? We ended up losing 5-1. I don't feel bad for city at all. Swings and roundabouts. Everyone gets shafted at some stage

Lloris has always been that 9/10 girlfriend you're paranoid is gonna leave you. When he does something dumb, you feel secretly slightly relieved, as it buys you a bit of time, out of the clutches of a better suitor

Delicious daylight robbery. Unbelievable that we got away with a point here. City were fantastic, just fantastic.

Vital point. We had lost this 20-0 under Sherwood or AVB.

To all the shitty haters out there slagging us off at the moment crying, saying "city were robbed.... oh that was a foul in the box.... ohh you lost alderweireld now..." well i say this to you...

"LOL"

City decided to muff up their own gifted 2-0 lead... we lost another of our belgian giants at the back and had to put wanyama there... and the game seemed over for us... oh but whats that?? The lads didnt give up. These boys are the definition of passion. We literally never say die. Done brilliant to come from 2-0 down to draw against a city side that are still a title contending team.

Well played boys. Onto the next COYS!!

Reality sinks in.

Bluemoon.

"Just had a bit of a worrying thought - despite playing fantastic football and creating a bagful of chances, were it not for two most uncharacteristic lapses by the usually excellent Lloris, we wouldn't have scored today."

Ahab Ahab

I think they may line up like this:

Willy
Otamendi - - - - -Kompany - - - - - - Stones
Sagna - - - - - - - - - Toure - - - - - - - - - Fernando - - - - - - - Clichy
Sterling - - - - - - - de Bruyne - - - - - - - - Nolito
Aguero
New rules re # of players?

City at home are a much different proposition to what they are away. Their pitch is massive which allows de bruyne, sterling, aguero and silva a shitload of space to operate in. It's far easier to mark them on smaller grounds like WHL. They really should have thrashed chelsea and would have if not for de bruyne missing a tap in. We shouldn't underestimate them at all, nor expect them to lie down.

Love this post -

Pep came here thinking every game from the "lesser" teams would be marked with them respecting our squad quality and it would a 3-0 stroll away at every week at Tenerife/Getafe.
West Ham 5-0 is what he is used to in Spain/Germany, teams who try until they concede and then they wilt.
He assumed this league was inferior and now he isn't even scrambling to recover.
He's starting to look like Villas Boas.
Don't like the guy, don't like his comments about us fans (that was a big turn off).
He looks alarmingly out of his depth,
Old red nose at the swamp would have put him in a psych ward with mind games by now.

LOL!!

Edit: apparently that was his first post ever on Bluemoan.

Hell of a debut

Thoughts:
* City got their tactics spot on and defended well which was a surprise.
* We were a right mess for basically 90 minutes, never seen us that out of shape. Another surprise.
* Dembele, Kane, Eriksen were anonymous today.
* We missed Super Jan more than I thought we would.
* The ref gave us nothing all game except one decision.
* That decision gifted us a point as they should have had a stonewall penalty.
* We're still in the title race but it's hard to see Chelsea slipping up enough now to let us back in.
* Son is a super sub, that's his best role.
* I think this was the kind of game where we really missed Lamela.
* Wanyama can play at CB.
* Lloris rarely makes a mistake that leads to a goal, to make two in one game was very unusual.
* A point is an superb result for us.
* Come backs really feel good.
* Man City must feel proper unlucky.

Today's result shows how resilient and hardskinned we have become. Previous Spurs teams would have crumbled at 2-0 down, but Poch has made such a tough team with a never say die attitude which was shown again today.

The 3 at the back today didn't work, whether he'll try it again at Sunderland with Davies in there or resort to a back 2 is yet to be seen. Having the FA Cup game is good as Toby can have a proper rest.

Worst that can happen is we drop to the 3rd tomorrow, still that isn't awful. We are well in with a chance of getting a top 4 place. That 2 years in a row is a great achievement considering our recent inconsistency.
