Leicester are top of the current form table, and have been for most of the season, they are currently on there best run of form (EVER) in the premiership 5 wins no goals conceded, and have 3 of the last 5 games at home, while you have just the 2 home games....It's really down to how long you can keep winning, I fully expect Leicester to beat West Ham and go 10 points clear. Then it's sit back and watch you guys, in your must win game at Stoke....With no pressure on us .what so ever.. Sorry but it just looks so inevitable. But I will say you have good team and deserve to be runners up to the Foxes.
smug much?
Your entire self congratulatory post is based on you beating West Ham - but what if they beat you? Your little foxy arses will start to go I think. And then we'll see. Something about counting and chickens?

...an unfortunate choice of animal metaphor with which to taunt a 'Fox' I fear!

Leicester will be 10 points ahead of Spurs if they beat West ham. Spurs will then go to Stoke knowing they (HAVE) to win. The pressure is all on Spurs, if anybody thinks differently, well they are kidding themselves.

Surely the greater chance a team has to win - the more pressure on them......not the other way around

I still think we'll win it, I've said for a long while that the best position for us to be in is chasing Leicester with a few games to go.

If we fall short and finish 2nd behind them it's still infinitely better than two other scenarios;
a) Woolwich winning it (which they should have done having gone top in January)
b) us leading Leicester and choking to finish 2nd

Yes you play after Leicester in most if not all games. Vardy stated after the away win at Sunderland it's head's down and go again at home to west Ham, that's the attitude that has got Leicester into this position. I stated Leicester's current form because you will do well to match it, your current 3 wins 2 draws against Leicester's 5 wins on the bounce does not do that. So for you to gain 7 points in the 5 remaining games when Leicester have 3 of them at home seems highly improbable, at best. Haven't Leicester got the best home record in the league this season..?

My dear fellow, may I be so bold as to ask what brings you to our little forum? Are your highly informative posts brought on by a nobility of spirit, or (please forgive my suspicion) are they motivated by a darker power?

I'm fairly certain our fans are aware of the difficulty of catching Leicester, but what if they did fall apart after losing to West Ham - they are a good side you know - what then? They would be world famous for all the wrong reasons, and that is why the pressure is all on Leicester - we have nothing to lose.

I dont think we will, never have to be honest but I'm fairly confident that Tottenham being Tottenham we'll miss our by the tightest of margins rather than several points.

I dunno whether i'd rather the gap stay at 7 points (if we're not gonna win it, that is) or we close the gap to something much closer, which, whilst encouraging, could be infinitely more annoying, seeing as we somehow lost the '6-pointer' against them at The Lane...
Then again, they have specialised in the 1-0 this season, so we're not alone there in having been beaten by that scoreline!!

We HAVE to gain some points this weekend or I think it's all but sealed.

Everything is going in Leicesters favour. Not only the countless refereeing decisions but even the way the fixtures fall from now until the final day.

They've not had to deal with any real pressure since they went top and I can't recall one weekend where they have had to watch the chasing pack close the gap before they play their game. If we can gain 3 points and close the gap to 4 with 4 games to go it could be on.

Everton
Utd
Chelsea

All teams that could take points off them on their day. It'd be such a shame for this season to drizzle out without us putting them under some real pressure!

If we're not going to win I'd rather it stayed like that. I don't think I could stomach knowing that totally unjustified 1-0 against us was the difference.

What would be poetic justice is if we draw level with them and win it on GD. That'd shine a light on just how useful all those 1-0s were.

Fuckin' hell people... Arse fans were willing to turn 'Liliywhite' for the day in '99 when we played Man Utd on the final day, but needed to win to help them out!

No one is saying we're West Ham fans... we just want a result that would help us because we're Spurs fans!
It just 'happens' to be West Ham... Besides, i'm not banking on Chelsea doing any favours IF we need them to come the last day... I think it will all be done and dusted by then tbh.
IF, (and that's now a big if) the 6 points Arse took off Leicester this season, somehow helped us to win the league, it would fucking kill them to know that... and that's why I don't actually mind what they do... as long as it's for OUR gain!

I'm starting to wonder about Leicester's trip to Stamford Bridge. Yes their players will want them to win the league over us, but won't they want their win bonus more?

Most of Chelsea's players don't even give a shit about their own team, I find it hard to believe they will give any shits about perceived fan rivalries. Half of them will already have their eyes on the door

The easy way around it is to simply say you want X to lose, not that you want Y to win. Job done.
