Manager The Sack Race

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Emery caused possibly irreparable damage to Gerrard's reputation by finishing 4th and reaching to quarter finals of CL with players that Gerrard thought very lowly of. He was genuinely convinced that he was doing a good job keeping them slightly above the relegation zone.

He shouldn't get a job in a top league, or in a team aspiring to reach there eventually, unless and until he proves himself at a lower level.

They could've waited for a month or so for the decision, as 3 of their next 5 league games are relegation 6 pointers against the newcomers. Could be very decisive.

Some poor results in those would make them look like mugs for giving this extremely premature extension.

Regardless of how much of it is due to him, and I agree that Wolves have been a basket case for quite some time, going back to last season he's currently on a terrible streak of 1 point from last 8 league games and counting. Managers rarely survive this kind of form, let alone get an extension in the midst of it.
I think they probably will get relegated, but he's not the issue. They were relegation fodder before and lost their best two players and haven't replaced them. The guy isn't a God.
Plan is probably this season and next and reassess. I have Burnley, Wolves and West Ham/Brentford to go. The latter starting to hit a bit of form.

Villa is an ageing squad that have run out of puff at the same time.

PSR means they were unable to keep topping up the quality they had, it also meant having to sell off players.

I get PSR is frustrating for them, but they should see what it’s like when you do everything the correct way, build up over time in a sufficient manner only for some shiete to come out of nowhere and win the lottery and be propped up by that. So fuck Villa, they can do it the long hard way like most in this league

Tired of going back and fourth with Villa fans about this, they blame the cartel 6 for the restrictions on spending but all they've done is spend beyond their means which is never sustainable, you can't go from having a ridiculous 96% to 70% wage to turnover ratio and not expect a drop in form and quality and standards.

The funny thing is they complain so much about the rules being 'unfair' yet they got promoted what 6 years ago...and they got bought by a rich Sugar daddy which allowed them to surpass already established Premier League sides who didn't have the liberty of having a rich benefactor pumping money into their club and have this leapfrogged all those clubs whilst not really having to work for it.

They've also gamed the system buy trading young players with Chelsea and Everton in order to receive pure profit in order to get round the rules.

If the owners were serious and in it for the long haul then they'd be putting plans on place to build a stadium and increase the match day and commercial revenue as debt isn't factored into infrastructure costs but it seems like they don't want to put the hard yards in like we did.

Something possibly going on behind the scenes there contributing to their bad form?

Their dumbass fans also think they’re a bigger club than us so I can’t take them seriously on anything
