I predict that Nuno will replace Amorim before Christmas.
I reckon they might end up going for Pochettino tbh, as far as I'm aware the USA won't have any more competitive fixtures between now and the WC so he might be able to do a deal with the USMNT to manage Utd concurrently, take them to the WC and resign after the tournament to take on Utd full time. He would get a top half finish out of that Utd side no doubt in my mind. More than can be said for Amorim if they persist.

Palace isn’t an easy point anymore with Glasner in charge.
Taken a big gamble on Pino as a like-for-like replacement on Eze's goal contributions IMO and despite hitting 3 past Villa (who look like they've really run out of road under Emery after the disappointment of missing out on CL on the final day and a lot of squad flux but not necessarily improvement over the summer), they've drawn a blank in half of their 6 games so far and only put 1 past a frankly very poor Fredrikstad side in 180 mins, I think they are gonna have real issues with scoring and didn't do nearly enough to address those issues over summer, probably will avoid getting pulled into relegation battle as think looking at some squads (Spam, Leeds, Brentford in particular) they have more about them than 4 or 5 other sides but can see them being a much less threatening proposition this season with being leggy from thursday games and not having that unpredictable player in Eze who can so often be the difference maker in a smash-and-grab.

I think Nuno’s found his level in his Wolves and Forest spells; take a side and make them one of the better midtable teams who are tough to beat with a decent chance at beating the bigger lot.

IMO Utd is just too big for him and their fans wouldn’t accept his football in the long run. West Ham should be speaking to him right now if they’re serious about themselves

I agree that its his level. But i still think he will manage United before Christmas. By the way, is United a step up or a step down from Forest?

If he went there, I wouldn’t expect much. But it’s definitely still a massive step up from Forest

I don't think they'll pull the trigger on him. Theyve too much invested in him, they have to see it through.

I can see him walking though. Especially if Lord Rat and co meet with Amorim and say "we want this to work but you HAVE to change your tactics. We need results. We know we may have to go backwards before we can improve, and we are prepared for that, but the results just have to get better".

The situation is ridiculous though. Plans ABC are all 3-4-3 with players who are being asked to do things that arent their strengths. I'm very glad weve got Frank, not them. I'm sure his tactical flexilbity would have succeeded well there. He also doesn't look lilke the panicking sort. Amorim on the other hand is coming out with utter garbage at every stage.

Managerial appointments of a given club often resemble a pendulum swinging back and forth, more so if the most recent one was an abject failure.

There's no way they'd go for another back 3 enthusiast in Glasner, even though his stock is really high at the moment and this characterization of back 3 as the main building block of an inherently negative approach is too simplistic.

Nuno also has no chance, overwhelming majority of their fans still consider the very brief Moyes era as the beginning of their downfall.

Similar to our own social experiment last season, it'd be interesting to see where they'll end up with Amorim at the end of this season.

I can honestly see them going for a round 2 with Jose. Possibly even Ole.

Jose, whilst washed beyong belief, has the gravitas to control the locker room. And Ole has the good will of the club and knows it inside and out.

Neither will be a solution but I honestly see them try it.

Man United are so fucking weird. Every summer they buy a bunch of good players, this summer it was Cunha, Sesko and Mbeumo only to slowly have these players morph into donkeys. It’s like the Glazers have to feed off talent to stay alive. Surely at some point players might go you know what United will turn me into a donkey don’t think I will go there.

Bruno is arguably their best and most consistent player.

I am convinced that if he left United and got rid of whatever nerf that he gets from being there he'd be the new undisputed best player on the planet.

Their formation is far too narrow. They sold or alienated all their actual wingers and now are playing a bunch of CAMs. Their fbs annd only width are very subpar.

If they bought a nice pair of wingers and a new cdm they could turn it around pretty quick I think. But they probably won’t figure that out anytime soon. Total shitshow.
