There's zero advantage to not having an option to buy........
If he plays well then either a) PSG will want to keep him or b) charge more money than he'd have been worth this summer.
Jaysus I've seen some wild statements In my short time on this site but rating this window a 0/10 is definitely the wildest I think I've ever seen on any site. Wow
Agreed, now have a good mix of youth and experience.Kudos, Palhinha, Xavi & Kolo Muani is a good window, all players strong enough to start
Curious where Romano gets his info from. Aggregators online or he knows people inside?
Parish has done a good job with palace. But if he wants to take on Tottenham hes chasing his tail. Eventually Levy will screw him over.I think it's probably two things. We are one of the big clubs who tries to fuck over the smaller ones in the league with share of money etc and second thing is probably the clash of egos between parish and Levy
Yep. An option to buy doesn't mean anything if the player and/or club don't want him to stay. If he works out and wants to stay we're in a strong position. If he doesn't want to stay or we don't want him to, it's no loss.Sure there is - we get him for 9 months. Seems like thats all that was possible. Should we have been adamant about an option and missed out entirely?

Not sure you realise how impressive a year-on-year Net spend of £120M is.
Our main problem is we do not recuperate enough from sales, and are terrible at cashing in on players. For example, Brennan Johnson's stock will never be higher, and we should have looked to get £50-60M for him this summer
Re: Lookman > Gala
He nearly ended up at Bayern..... Would that mean he's a better quality player?
He's only at Gala, cos BM and us didn't like Atalanta's terms... He's still essentially the same player.
It’s definitely too soon to accurately rate the window. But you can certainly rate our methods and process. And for me it’s a 0/10
Every single deal we did this summer basically fell into our lap. We are extremely fortunate West Ham needed money. Palhinha didn’t fit Kompany’s plans. And for some reason Chelsea never pulled the trigger on Simons.
Strange we're trying so hard to shift him given Frank was reported this morning to have said that he'd seen enough to give him another opportunity.

I know we're not a charity, but we have a Dele shaped hole and a club of compassionate folk...
Again, we’ll never sell well with this chairman, because most of the industry can’t be bothered with his schtick.
120m may well be impressive, but it’s all generated by us the fans. The miserable owners won’t invest and as we saw this summer the gap between us and the major players gets bigger.
Anyone know if there is a buy clause in the muani deal and if so, the price? Romano has tweeted there’s a buy clause with no obligation but I can’t find the price anywhere.
