............Not a scouser so not sure how much he'd care about sticking around for a new dawn that may not come.

So he should stay at Everton because of Moyes and the new stadium? Interesting take

I can't see Spurs putting up the money it would take, but the links aren't going away.

Could see this, Micky is very much a cb but has played LB before joining and Frank seems to like a giant cb at fullback

Doubt it but could work, also think I've read Branthwaite played right centre back at psv on loan

I'm always skeptical about the likelihood of swap-deals...... But think we'd be facing:

40m + Richarlison
or
70m with Romero sold.

No way we pay world class money(*) for a CB expected to start the season on the bench.

(*)At £70m; he'd be the top 4 CB fee of all time according to this list:

The most expensive centre-backs in history

1. McGuire ( Lester > MU)
2. De Ligt (Ajax > Juv)
3. V.Van Dyke (S'ton > LFC)

Was secretly hoping Van Hecke would enter the frame as a possible Romero replacement. Double Dutch Bus at the back to emulate our Belgian Boys. Brighton would ask for a small fortune tho.

He wouldn’t be starting on the bench. He’ll play RCB and replace Romero if we sign him.
