Absolutely, we need both. As has been said on here previously, our squad depth is actually mostly decent, and players like Bergvall, Gray and Udogie are a year older and wiser. What we need this window is 3 signings of genuine quality, like £50m+ players. What we’ll get is 1 quality player and 4 youngsters and the cycle will continue.
Mbeumo, Eze and a quality DM like a Hjulmand transforms this team.
We are not very good at selling players when the time is right, and it is time to sell Son and Richarlison. That would make space for Eze and Mbuemo. We would also not need to make Tel permanent either.
Kulusevski, Eze, Maddison, Johnson, Odobert, Moore and Mbuemo would be a great set of players to compete for 3 WF/AM places to support Solanke. We do need another CF in addition to this though.

Vuskovic already dwarfs the vast majority of our players. He's 6'4" already for fucks sake. Lad is a fucking unit!
I think we are sitting on an absolute goldmine of young CB talent right now in Vusk, Phillips and Dorrington. We need to be really focusing on developing these players rather than shelling out for ready-made backups- especially since we already have them within the club. The money can be spent relatively better elsewhere within the squad.
If used in a back 3 with 3 midfielders infront he will be well protected too
We have a lot of very versatile pieces in defense right now. It should be genuinely exciting no matter if a back 2 or 3 manager come in.
I must admit I am absolutely salivating over Vuskovic's goal-scoring set-piece potential.
I think he is more a Bergvall level youth player by which I mean he is young yes but already a beast. Vuskovic had many of Europe’s biggest clubs after him and it was seen as a coup for us to snatch him. I don’t think he is comparable to Philips or Dorrington. Maybe we loan him but it really should be to another prem team or a decent German side, I get the impression he would be well above the championship level and that wouldn’t help.
I agree- I think he is above Champo level already- a true wunderkid. We need to show faith and integrate him early, or give him an absolutely top class loan. I really think he should just join us now though...
