Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Shitssouma was ridiculous, I agree. Man I'd have been embarrassed of that one.

But so is wishing well to a guy who's pocketed an outrageous amount of cash for 3 years at Spurs whilst being awful for 90% of that period. Unprofessional and disrespectful too...the whole balloon episode anyone?

I have zero time for him, cannot wait for him to leave Spurs and he's up there as one of the signings I most regret. The fact he played well vs C-listers in 4 or 5 Europa League games changes nothing.
Don't disagree that he's been a let down - his sending off at Luton for diving was a particularly low point for me - but he was a massive part of that trophy win so I'll focus on that.

He needs to go. He has been disappointing on the whole and I'm not sure he's a character I'd have in the changing room. But why focus on negatives and hate?

Wish him well. Take the money. Move on.

He had little impact in the PL compared to prior years and we won’t be in the second rate EL so scrub that as a relevant data point

He couldn’t pass a ball forward, gap players or strike the ball. Position didn’t help him but use your eyes, he was a liability.

Why do you fail to understand that playing 60 games in a season versus 40 odd has significant consequences for players, form, injuries, productivity and the rest.

Most of your posts do not recognise any understanding of that basic point.

Let alone your ill informed idea that Son is only worth 8m

“Outrageous”?!? On behalf of our beloved Chairman Mr Levy - How f’in dare you sir! Post-Ndombele - Nobody is or will be on high wages much less “outrageous” wages at our club EVER AGAIN! You owe our beloved Chairman an apology - So let’s f’in hear it.

You don’t get the trophy for MOST FiNANCiAL SUSTAINABLE CLUB in the league paying “outrageous” wages!

To win anything decent you need a 3 galatcticos in attack.

Ronaldo Benzema Bale
Messi Suarez Neymar
Mane Salah Firmino
Rooney Ronaldo Tevez/Berbatov
Haland Mahrez De Bruyne
Kane Son Eriksen---even though we didnt win anything you get my point

Woolwich only have Sakha
Liverpool have Salah and Wirtz

They both still need more to win a CL.

As for Spurs do we even have 1 good attacker? Is Mbuemo gonna be that guy?

Ok thanks re Walker.

And yeah, a massive NO to KWP.

How'd you think we solve that issue, though?
This season we'll just have to rely on a couple of the youth players for extra depth, keep Moore and Devine around. Next season (26/27) Gray and Bergvall can count as List B which will open up a couple more slots and Devine and Scarlett will class as club-trained if they're still around. Pretty much fixes itself now because of who the club have brought in.

100% - keep reading ‘get him cos he’s cheap’ then moaning we don’t spend enough money on quality players!
No. Because he’s club trained. To simplify, for UEFA comps like the champs league you get a squad of 21 players + 4 club trained players to a max of 25. We only have 1 club trained player in Austin. So signing KWP effectively takes our squad up to 22.

There really is no downside to re-signing KWP for free unless you want to fill the other 3 spots with Kane, Winks, Skipp, Parrott etc. It simply gives us more depth even if he never plays.

We don't need useful, we need quality.

Spending 30mil on that kid was a ridiculous decision.

But cheap wages. But Levy.
Every teams needs useful youngsters who can put in a shift either coming off the bench or stepping in for unavailable first team players. Noone is going to have a Ribery level player happy to sit on the bench. 30 mil is not much of a fee for a player these days

Past payments are not a particular problem, providing that we pay them off and buy players with staged payments this summer. That way we might well afford to buy players worth say £200m on 5 year contracts this summer as that means we only play £40m this year.

Pay £68m this year for one player, and its more of a struggle to buy other players. And that is true for virtually every club.

FYI 95%+ of all transfers are done on staged payments - and that suits all clubs for reasons of cash flow and allows all clubs to comfortably afford multiple players every year.

Also worth knowing that banks do not like funding player purchases - too much danger of a player becoming injured and potential total loss of of value.
Agree with all your saying except the bold bit. Banks love loaning money to clubs given the steady revenue streams. However banks require clubs to take insurance on players in case of injury that affects value.

Ever wondered why new players being signed fail medicals like Nusa did with Brentford? It’s not the club medical team who fail them, it’s the insurance company. They deem the existing condition or conditions to be too great a risk to insure and the banks and/or club don’t want to take the risk of the signing uninsured.
