He was the best player we could sign this summer that was REALISTIC. We aren't signing Rodrygo, Xavi Simons, Wharton or Baleba. We know that. Eze felt realistic and a potential game changer for us.
Now we know there is no top player coming this summer. Thats why its such a kick in the teeth. We will sign some unknown players now and just hope they surprise us and come good! But we won't be signing a ready made top player.
