He's a class player, his ENTIRE FAMILY is Spurs.... I dunno where all this Eze is a Gooner came from... Is it simply 'cos they rejected him as a kid and he cried??

As I said before Eze doesn't even fit our side properly anyway, much prefer Semenyo or Kudus, natural wingers - He doesn't even fit them either - he's a completely different profile to both Martinelli and Odegaard lol

Spurs fans have been chasing this Eze pipe dream for ages and they've got used to the idea of us signing him so much they can't really say why we need him.

Eze's the type of player you MAKE fit into ANY team....
He's a throwback maverick in the mould of Frank Worthington, Stan Bowels, Glenn Hoddle, Ginola of this era ...🫠 And PRECISELY the type of player we love, and should have at our club!

Arteta would turn him into a functioning automon!!

Compared to the money we can spend in a position we need to cover more like 6 or a winger then signing yet another 10 is a waste especially as he isn't a natural 10

And I agree with you it should be Eze and someone else but this club is only going to have one marquee and that's it hence why I'm hesitant about Eze.

Seriously!?! Any player can get injured at any time. So we shouldn’t buy someone because they might get injured? You want Semenyo or Kudus, both of whom will cost more than Eze. What if they get injured? Would that be a waste also? If you’re complaining that Madders and Kulu are injured too often then it’s all the more reason to get a quality backup.

The point still stands that we should get a DMF, winger and a 10 but ENIC/Levy refuse to pay the money because they’re tight arses. Win the epl and cl. What a load of dung. If you’re going to talk the talk then pay up.

Thats how I see it yeah. I think Eze is far better than Semenyo/Kudus who are also realistic signings for us. Woolwich are linked with Rodrygo and Xavi Simons who I'd rate higher than Eze but both will want close to 300k a week which puts them out of our reach.

He said La Liga as he hasn't played there yet.

I'm not foolish enough to think his heart belongs to Tottenham, but we've also tabled a contract extension. Until we see whether he signs that or not I'm not putting two and two together as I don't see anything he's said as a clear indication. You may be right, but my issue is that you're taking a lot of circumstantial evidence and moving right onto a verdict.

Well yeah we should but your 2nd paragraph is solidifying my point, it's only going to be one, not both hence why we need to get it right, you can't spend £70m on a marquee 'backup' that's an oxymoron.

What's more of a priority a 10 or a 6 or winger? We already have 2 10's who are good enough, we have a 6 who is meh and the other needs nurturing and isn't ready to play consistently and our wingers are weak on both sides.

Semenyo will cost the same as Eze by the way and I doubt West Ham will get the full £80m for Kudus as well

Agree... I hate this 'demand' we sign players, then when they're linked, it becomes a question of "where are they gonna fit into the team?"

They're NOT, I thought the whole idea of squad strength is that we make a SQUAD full of 1st Teamers?!

We can't have what kept happening last season... 3 or more injuries and we're screwed....we should have 2 FIRST TEAM QUALITY players for EVERY position, yes, some like Bergwall or Gray may be young, but they're of a level that doesn't look out of place in the 1st team.

Brennan Johnsons problem was that he strikes me as an excellent SQUAD player who CAN come in, or on and affect the game, but can't be relied upon necessarily in each and every game!

Kulu, Maddison, Eze, Johnson, Tel Odobert... That's a wonderful mix of attacking midfield quality.
They not ALL gonna play every game, and nor should they if we want to keep them fit for the season....
We could perm any 3 from that lot and rotate, rest, play as needed ...

Eze fits into our squad perfectly....
So yes, if he went to Arse after all, I'd be livid!
