Well yeah we should but your 2nd paragraph is solidifying my point, it's only going to be one, not both hence why we need to get it right, you can't spend £70m on a marquee 'backup' that's an oxymoron.

What's more of a priority a 10 or a 6 or winger? We already have 2 10's who are good enough, we have a 6 who is meh and the other needs nurturing and isn't ready to play consistently and our wingers are weak on both sides.

Semenyo will cost the same as Eze by the way and I doubt West Ham will get the full £80m for Kudus as well
I’ll take the 6. But there’s no 6 that will cost 70 mil and is available. There lies the problem. Winning teams are built around a top 6.

Nah let's not bother and finish 17th again. Such mediocre thinking from Mr Contrarian. How long before you bemoan us not getting another 10? And will you fuck off for another month and come back with another personality transplant? Which will last 2 minutes before you become the annoying wally that everyone on here has seen before.

Yeah you're right, not signing Eze means we're gonna finish 17th 🤡

For the sake of the forum and yourself stick me on ignore, you chat shit the best of times but when you engage with me you willingly bathe in verbal diarrhea, be gone peasant. 😆

Kudus, who I am informed (third-hand) is a twat, won't fetch even half that amount.

I know my sources. I block all the bad ones and bookmark all the good ones.

The best Woolwich ITK account by a distance said he's agreed all personal terms with them. Its up to Woolwich if they buy him or not.

I posted yesterday that "The best Woolwich ITK account by a distance" is actually listed as one of the worst on the arsemania forum

I think having confidence in a strategy for improvement, linked to having real clarity and conviction about player acquisitions is all I want to sense.

I am not sure I am able to have that, even though I am less concerned as a result of the managerial change.

So hang on, if Woolwich go for him, they get him cos Eze is gonna be an upgrade on Odergaard and Martenelli... but if they don't, it's cos they can do better... Well then they'll clearly go for someone better. 'cos if WE go for him, then he's downgraded to only the best WE can get....
He's a class player, his ENTIRE FAMILY is Spurs.... I dunno where all this Eze is a Gooner came from... Is it simply 'cos they rejected him as a kid and he cried??

.... If anything, if I were him, I'd never wanna set foot in that place UNLESS it's North London Derby day and I'm in the away dressing room!

Eze's the type of player you MAKE fit into ANY team....
He's in the mould of Frank Worthington, Stan Bowels, Glenn Hoddle, Ginola of this era ...🫠 And PRECISELY the type of player we love, and should have at our club!

Arteta would turn him into a functioning automon!!
Stan Bowels was shit mate :cautious:

Spurs being "bottle jobs" is something that gained a lot of traction to deflect from teams like liverpool (slippy g) and Woolwich actually being bottle jobs.

I don't think we've ever actually bottled something, in that we've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Even in 2016, we were never top at any point. Woolwich were, but no one ever says they bottled the title to leicester in the jan/feb
We have had 8 FA Cup semis we've lost.
We lost how many league cup finals (and some semis) between 08 and 2025?
We could have gone top in 15/16 on at least 2 occasions but failed to beat a shit West Ham and 10 man Woolwich.
We then capitulated so hard we ended up finishing 3rd bottling our chance to finish above Woolwich for the first time in 20+ years.
In the following season on MW 35 we were 7 points behind having cut the gap down with 12 points to play for. We again lost to WHU handing it to them basically.

We have been bottling it for years, like it or not. We were never top because we bottled it in games we absolutely should have won.

The main issue is people believing (and, in a worrying sense, some people wanting to believe) the circus crap out there on twitter. The club has no more leaks. All that is left is guessing. The weirdos that loved their adulation as "ITK" are not going to just hand up their keyboards, but are very much going to carry on guessing stuff. People need to bear in mind that all they are doing is guessing.

I absolutely expect that the first time we'll know about a lot of our incomings is when the club announces it. Not via "Logistics Manager/Pub DJ" O'keefe, not by "My fishing friend is an agent" on SC, or "I can't spell but I'm trusted with secrets" on SC, and not from "Nigel, aged 38, lives with his mum. Did a journalism degree in uni, but no one will employ me" on twitter.

It's almost certain that Frank will be planning acquisitions with the scouting team and Lange. He might not want Eze, and people will just have to deal with that. He might want some random dane from Superliga. So long as Frank is happy and the scouting team are happy.

If we were in a title race 3 seasons in a row but came up short, with a consistent recent history of cup wins, you wouldn't be jealous of them for winning the EL and that being their first trophy in 17 years.

At least be consistent.
In 10 years time whats remembered.

I remember poch and its the best ive ever seem Tottenham be but other fans not so much . Let the scum celebrate their almost wins, i wont.

And they deliver the goods on the pitch of course.

The long and the short of it is that we simply have to get the right players in. I couldn't care less if they cost £5M or £100M. If they are the right players then get them.

We have had 8 FA Cup semis we've lost.
- 2017/18 against Man Utd, who finished second in the league
- 2016/17 against Chelsea, who won the league
- 2011/12 against Chelsea

2009/10 against portsmouth with what I remember as a slippy pitch is probably the only one.

I don't know where 8 has come from unless you go back well into the previous century.

Our league cup finals since 2008 have been against Man Utd, Chelsea, and Man City. All at their peak powers.

We could have gone top in 15/16 on at least 2 occasions but failed to beat a shit West Ham and 10 man Woolwich.

I think you're mistaking over-performing in a lot of the above for "bottling" it. Even if we won that game against West Ham we'd have been level on points with Leicester. That Leicester who were on an unbeaten run and lost only 1 game in 2016 and 3 all season.
Not going unbeaten isn't "bottling" it - it's a complete misappropriation of the phrase, and belittles over-performing. If not going top of the league, and not winning a SF is 'bottling it', then all but one club 'bottles' it every season

Not least, it shits over one of the greatest phrases associated with the club:

It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. At Spurs we set our sights very high, so that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.
