I understand the team shape considerations, I do.
But the whole appeal of Frank is in his ability to construct a tactical setup that best exploits the qualities of his top players, and Eze is simply a better footballer than Elliot and Kudus.
No player is a guarantee of a successful transfer, but Eze is as low-risk on that basis as they come, that is a premium worth paying. Elliot and especially Kudus have scary downside possibilities.
Build the teamsheet around the proven quality you can get with Eze.

He's 28yo, English, a classy and experienced player who can score, pass, cross, run. Pretty much always fit, no big injuries. Disciplinary record is good and sounds like a decent fella off the pitch too. Yeah he's West Ham and banging that twat's daughter, but it ain't like he's Chelsea or Woolwich eh.

If anything, they have upped the ante considerably.
Simons is pure talent, but his mindset worries me a bit. But yeah, we should still go after such players, even if that means 80mil and 200k ish pw. That's what big clubs that (want to) win big things do.
