Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Would rather we spent £25-30m on a Dibling or McAtee than £45-50m on Kudus, or Elliot at close to Kudus dough.

Back to back U21 Euro Champs, shows now is a time there is an abundance of young players with high potential who are English league(s) weathered already.

It's really quite insulting to be accused of being a troll
He says as he arranges his neon hair into three separate spikes in opposite directions

The point is that pretty much every source at the time and since said it was £50m

Tottenham have already offered a £5m loan with an option to buy but Wolves have rejected it and they value the 25-year-old at £40m. Spurs were also said to be keen on a loan with an obligation to buy for £40m next summer.

Spurs had been working on a deal for Traore, a player with whom Nuno Espirito Santo loved working with from his years as Wolves manager, over the past week. There were transfer fees of £40m mooted, which seems like a lot for a swole dribble monster with an unproven record of finishing.

Among the options for Spurs could be an attempt to sign Traoré on loan with an option to make his move permanent for around £40m.

Mendes has proposed a £34m move to Tottenham for Traore, with Wolves then given the chance to sign Goncalo Guedes as a replacement.

The Valencia winger would be available for around £21.5m, but both Premier League clubs would have to move fast to put everything in place.

It is also unclear whether Tottenham have the funds to meet a £34m asking price.

What if Frank doesn't see that position and needing reinforcement?

Clearly we need a positional player such as Kudus more than Eze?

What's the point in spending money on the latest shiny player, if he's surplus to positional requirement?
Ffs eze goes straight into our starting 11. Can you not see that! He is miles better than any of left sided forwards. Also can play the 10. Why we are interested in quality player gawd knows. Are you happy with our left sided options. Not to labor the point but I’d much rather have eze out there than players like Wilson , tel, Johnson , Richi etc.

I asked ChatGPT who we’ve signed today but it just generated an image showing swarms of people laughing. Can anyone assist?

But why would we buy another 10... we have 2... and Donley coming through... we need a RW.. i agree on the striker front we need one a younger high potential one ideally and we definitely need a 6 in a different mould to what we have. If we can get Simmons I would personally go for him, Id sell a bunch of players to fund it move Tel to back up Striker and have Him and Odobert LW and also Simmons rotating with Maddison at 10 until Kulu is fully fit and then sell Son, Solomon and richie etc

We also need a lot of outs annoyingly.
The waste of money on unproven players is our downfall. For what we have wasted we could easily have got a Simmons or eze in.

"17th I don't know how
We won it in Bilbao"

Increasingly looking like the only thing we'll get to sing about next season....

Back Frank you fuckers!

Come on. Kudus being a better signing than Eze is a ridiculous take.
We just have usual people justifying a transfer like we had for Werner Solanke Tel etc. ideally we should get both. However we have decided to waste our money elsewhere. Both are needed and play diff roles. However we can only go for one and then make do and hope the ones which some say ‘there is a player in there’ come good. Mess! For a top 6 club and one of the richest.

I still think it's unlikely we get Kudus. Too many clubs sniffing about and West Ham would rather sell to anyone else bar us. I also don't think Kudus has any particular dream to play for Spurs, he just wants to leave west ham and he'll only join us if he gets no other offers!

I watched him in his first season as he was someone I had heard a lot about from
Ajax. He was one of the most exciting players in the league, scored some incredible goals and was a constant threat whenever I saw west ham
play. Even if you disregard his europa league games he put up good numbers in the prem in a team which don’t see a lot of the ball.

People pretending kudos wasn’t one of the most talked about and hyped players at the end of last season is so disingenuous.
I wanted him from Ajax but we got Johnson for more money. Still a quality player. However it seems as if we are going for him now only bcos something has fucked up with EzE deal. A top club would go out and get both and get on with it.

Of all of your laughable troll bullshit, constantly pointing out that the fanbase always treats every target as essential and worth paying any sum to close the deal on is the one I have the most patience for since it's so undeniably true and it is a useful corrective to look back and be like "actually just paying up for Saido Berahino would have been a fucking disaster".
i think he still can come good

I see nothing that excites or makes me think difference-maker in Kudus.

I think he strikes me of the type of player that appears to be far better than what he ever actually produces.

I can't see past 2 years and disappointment if we sign the bloke.

Kinda interesting how some fans will simultaneously be like ‘the squad depth is too weak!’ (which it is) but also push back on any possible transfer targets that don’t obviously walk into the starting 11. The best sides just sign players and let the manager and their form figure it out.
