Another massive transfer for Liverpool

Pure coincidence that they haven’t struggled with any legal shit and crazy owners. I don’t understand how they can do it? They don’t even have petro state owners, this isn’t meant to be possible

They bring in Frimpong and Kerkez, we extend Ben Davies.

They sign Wirtz, we sign Tel.

They get Ekitike, we keep Richy.

They'll sign Guehi or similar, we got Takai.

They got MacAllister/Gravenberg/Szobo, we have Biss, Bentancur & Sarr.

But woohoo, we signed Kudus.

One true big club with genuine ambition and respect for their fans vs a money-printing scam openly mugging off its customers.

Who did they sign last summer?

And they won the league from coaching, good fitness and recovery work.

They didn't spend for years until now after winning the title. Their fans wanted the owners gone for years.

Same with Woolwich. They didn't start spending big until they got in a title race.

You have to prove that you can compete at the highest level to convince top players to sign for you.
Lol so true, everyone's ignoring this.

we've fucking spent more than them over the last 5 windows!

Any potential signing is subject to passing a medical so in that scenario thd deal will be off

If he picks up a serious injury then that's the way the dice rolls. Right now he is a Forest player, weve offered the release clause but Forest don't want to let him go at the moment. I'm sure we would have moved onto an alternative target if this deal was dead.
We've matched the release clause, Forest shouldn't have a friggin say. MGW should already have completed his medical and signed his contract.

Another special first for Spurs.

Let's just play him in his natural position, and by a midfielder of quality instead.

Some in here are making it sound like they are picking a Sunday morning pub team starting eleven.

Micky scored a screamer last season from outside the box, but no one in here wanted to drop Solanke for him.
Totally with you, mate.

But when fans are wanting to see an 18yo newbie to the Premier League CB play CF, maybe that tells its own story about our record signing.

£500M for a stadium naming rights deal for 20 years is not in the realms of impossibility. £25m per year for a PL stadium of a team in the CL 50% of the time (which you think would increase with more investment), that hosts 30 non-football events (World Title Boxing fights, massive music concerts, NFL games etc.). Really surprised the club were not able to find a sponsor before and that Levy has allowed us to go 5 years without that income stream.

I'd rather not bother........

Prefer to keep our name on it and not be tied to Saudi sports washing.

It is nothing to do with Spurs. It is to do with the player and Forest. Beating our own club with this stick is quite pathetic TBH.

I would suspect that Spurs and the player's agent are in contact and doing everything they can to get this across the line and prevent the player needing to go on strike and end up in a court case against the Forest owner.

One hypothetical 'for instance'... what if MGWs clause said he could be sold for £60m if Forest did not qualify for the Europa League or the Champions League. And the day we made our bid Forest got elevated to the Europa League as a result of Palace's misfortune? Is his clause still activated or not? What we can't do is ignore Forest's refusal to do a deal and request to stop contact with their player.
