You only revel in anything that suggests we are falling behind, which your immediate turn to is blame ENIC/Levy.

I thought we couldn't win anything under that ownership?

Player 'persuaded' to sign a new contract until 2028 - yes that short a contract.

Reason the contract is that short is very likely he's now on a huge salary, probably £20m pa,+ maybe £30m (who knows) but way more than anyone in their right minds would pay him.

But that ensures he stays at Notts Forest for at least one more season - when Forest may well still be able to sell him for £60m or even £80m (uplift if he plays ell in CL).

So Forest do not lose financially at all as they get their £60m or £80m transfer fee - and keep him for at least one season when in CL when they can afford to over pay him.... and maybe he takes Notts Forest past CL league stage (worth an extra £10m maybe £20m by itself).


No way can anyone else both pay Forest £60m for him and put him on £20m or £30m pa salary for a 5 year contract.

There are question marks over the player and agent integrity ....... but club owner has a reputation (not proven in court) for 'persuading reluctant people' so maybe that took place too.

We've failed to land a player with a reported reasonable release clause who reportedly wanted to come, so I'm pretty happy with the idea we've made a hash of our approach.

I'm not going to blame MGW for not going on strike or demanding a move, that's cuntish in my opinion and it's reminiscent of how Harry behaved in 2021.

Funny how the tits on you tube say on the one hand that it’s all about getting minutes in legs then say the need for signings. Regardless of minutes for players they should thrashed these teams. That we need a play maker to create but we had enough money out there.

As for being "shafted by these frauds," you and others imply that they're penny-pinching, whereas the reality is that enormous sums have been spent on transfers over the past few years.

You can argue that we don't have a good strategy and have wasted money on some players and I'm with you on that. Demand that ENIC focus only on the business side and hire the best football people to run the football side of things and I'm with you on that too. But spare me the tight-fisted bullshit, which is, not only the wrong thing to complain about, but the only thing you guys complain about.
