Nobody expected the club to convince him to come here but eventually the did. Forget about his performances since, before he came to us 99% of people in football were shocked he swapped Bayern for Tottenham

Gets here realizes he can pop his slippers on for a nice pay packet . Lovely stuff

For what it’s worth , I think he’ll be a better player this coming season but to what level is hard to tell as he didn’t really show much while on loan

I listed examples- Dybala, Moutinho, Aguero, Bastoni, hell even Gibbs-White is another example of this. Big names that show ambition but never actually come off, and we get the routine of “we tried but the deal was too difficult”.

At one end of the spectrum we have Richard Arlison Richard Arlison who doesn’t believe we even bid for him.

At the other end we have this, where MGW is still coming.
 
Don't see the point of moving Son to be honest, unless he has explicitly asked for it.

We're not getting anything substantial in return for a 33 year old who has 1 year left on his deal. Might as well let him have a farewell tour of a season.

No chance, why go through that charade when they could have just told Levy to pay 70 mill and the player is ours

Forest would have got 10 mill above the release clause, Marinakis would have looked like a hero, there would have been no backlash from the fans against MGW

Simply put, they didn't want to sell, and definitely not to Spurs.
