The two are not mutually exclusive.Question for anyone who definitively knows.
Do the numerous loans actually free up squad space as opposed to make clear that none of those who have departed are deemed good enough, at this stage.

Still didn't surround them with another 2 or 3 top players to win big shiny things. We've been spoilt with Kane and Son, two of the greatest finishers in PL history
No you can't.They were not elite or world class in 2014.
They would become elite / world class after a few years. It could be in hindsight you say the same about Odobert or Tel.
You can have your opinion on Ange but he finished 5th and won a trophy in 2 seasons
Frank will do very very well to achieve half of that and he’s a miracle worker if he wins another trophy in the next 2 seasons
Our revenue dwarfs many of the teams on the list.Maddison, Kulusevski, Kudus, Palhinha, Romero.
I get 5 (not enough I know) isn't as funny as 3 for a post like that but it's mad how much traction stuff like it gets when it's a 10 second Google check.
I would give Christian Eriksen a call, I would kick the tyres on Gundogan as well since City seem to want to move him on.![]()

Joking aside, that is where we're at depth wise in the CL. We can only register 21 players + Austin and you name a 23 man squad for matchdays so there will be 1 spot for a List B academy player and we've loaned out all the players closest to being ready for men's football. 16 year-olds like Williams-Barnett, Byfield is where we're at now as a CL option on the bench.
It goes into property development mate, its about topping up the pension pot for eventual retirement. Our revenue dwarfs many of the teams on the list.
Where do you think all that revenue is going if it ain't being invested in the team?
If one were cynical, it might be that our January bid was nothing but a publicity stuntWhat I don't understand is we bid 70 million for Marc Guehi at the end of Jan but palace turned it down due lack of time to bring in a replacement.
So in that case why didn't we bid 70 again once the window opened instead of 5 mil for Takai? What a mystery

Great post. We're all feeling the pretty much the same way.Any team that finishes 17th and doesn't take the threat of relegation the following season seriously in all fairness deserves to be in a relegation fight the following year.
So far Son has left, Solanke hasn't got even a full match in pre season under his belt, we've lost Maddison for pretty much the whole season before we've kicked a ball and Kulusevski is apparently out until the new year. We are in a significantly worse place than the squad that finished 17th last season.
It's an absolute shambles and we have barely 3 weeks to fix it yet again. It's appalling when only weeks ago our chairman said he wants to win the Premier League.
I don't expect reckless spending but I don't expect truly disastrous planning of the season so far.
We needed a Roy Keane ie a destroyer who could actually play some footy. On Palhinha: I found him to be incredibly overrated during his Fulham tenure, I see his ball winning stats in the same way I see Adama Traore’s dribbling. You can’t rate a player just because they have one outstanding attribute.
The fact that Fulham replaced him with Sander Berge and retained their level of performance is mildly concerning to say the least.
He got found out at Bayern because he can’t pass wind. Same reason why PSG got rid of Ugarte after a season. Those are red flags to me.
Passing in our midfield was already a weakness; combativeness wasn’t. We needed a DLP at 6 far more than a shin kicker IMO.
Nobody will ever convince me that Hojbjerg was a necessity, sorry. We signed him after finishing 6th, He left us in 8th. Just because he was more “reliable” than Winks/Ndombele doesn’t make him good. Mediocre steady Eddie that talked a good game. I attach him immediately to Mourinho and that era that did us untold damage.
Where have we seen that before? If one were cynical, it might be that our January bid was nothing but a publicity stunt![]()
Alright if we want to avoid semantics… were you not a fan of spurs in 2013/14 season?
Lord knows how but yes Postecoglou did that..
He also presided over our most amount of losses pro rata ever and led us to 17th.
I wish him no ill but am so glad he has gone.
In is fully panic stations right now and Frank is still talking in riddles rather than speaking honestly.

I doubd any other club handles players as badly as we do.Gill contract extension lol. We never give up and cut our losses on players do we?
