Dragusin - recovering from an ACL
Takai - never played in Europe and missed all pre-season
Davies - 32 years old

We absolutely need a CB. Frank keeps talking about how he is focused on building a team that can compete to win all competitions, we cannot do that with our current CB options (assuming Vuskovic is going to Hamburg on loan). We have to break out of this Levy mentality where you can put any old rubbish on the bench and call it depth. True depth means you have starting quality players on the bench.
Loaning out Vuskovic makes no sense to me.

He's good enough to play 10-15 games with us as 4th choice CB whilst spending a season training against the likes of Kudus a s hopefully Eze/Savinho.

Takai should be treated the same as Yang. Basically a non entity right now

Kingsley Coman heading to Saudi. Probably ridiculous wages but only £25m
Sometimes Levy should look at those kinds of players instead of £60m fees and £75k a week wages.

And we just showed the European Champions we can go toe to toe with them.
We'll murder Burnley with half that performance.

We do need players. But throwing a tantrum because they're not here now is childish. Very childish.
Who's throwing a tantrum? We need new players, they've pissed around and wasted time in this window again. I just dont think losing Maddison and Son for Palhinha and Kudus is much to show for 3 months 'work' . I enjoyed the performance last night but shows we need more quality and to back the potentially good manager.

I don't think we need a centre back, Dragusin and the Japanese lad are joining up at some point and there are going to be a lot of games where Ben will be fine in a back 3 if needed.

If we get Eze I don't think Frank is going to bother with a midfield schemer until Maddison and Deki are fit. I think Gundogan would be brilliant for a season, but I reckon he will go with Kudus and Eze as right and left sided inside forwards. That would be pretty interesting to see to be honest.

So in you're opinion you don't think we will get both eze and sav and you think eze is the more likely?
I think if we only get one it will be sav BUT im hoping for both.

Not for me. I think most of these players heading to Saudi have lost their hunger and would be a bad influence in the changing room.

I'd much rather guys like Eze and Savinho who still have their best years ahead of them and are desperate to be a success at Spurs. Coman probably wouldn't really care as much lets be real.

I know this is for the January thread, but I wouldn't be surprised we move Johnson on if we sign Savinho and Eze. Frank doesn't seem to rate him at all, which is weird since he wanted to sign Johnson at Brentford if I recall it correctly.

As for the DM, we have a good one ffs, but he can't seem to be arsed to be a professional for one whole year. Bissouma yesterday instead of Gray, and we win that game comfortably, knowing that Bissouma always shows up for the big games.

I think he sat out lastnight because he wanted him fresh for Burnley along with odobert. Dom will start too imo

Fuck me this narrative is killing me! Burnley will be a totally different game where they'll be the ones parking the bus and we'll be the ones on the ball expected to break them down with no creative midfielders.

Its a totally different challenge and the PSG performance is irrelevant. If anything that PSG performance will drain us both physically and mentally and we are likely to have a very flat performance on Saturday.

There's plenty of tantrums in here, interlaced with ridiculous melting.

100%. We all knew Frank can set up a team to compete with the big boys.

But what has he got against a low block? Saturday will be tough without Eze.

If you don't have the hump after being 2 nil up with 5 mins to go and somehow conspiring to lose out on silverware then you're a gooner

Not really mate - why would I have the hump?

AM i a bit disappointed - sure - but I enjoyed the game for what it was - a showpiece game that was the very first competetive match we were playing under our new manager with our two new signings.

It was a great game, i thought we looked excellent for the most part and it gave me a lot of joy to see us perform so well, and a lot of confidence going into the season.

We were playing against the best club team in the world at the moment - i had zero expectations going in and im actually quite proud of the team.

Clerarly you have some processing to do - im sorry you cant enjoy a football game unless you win. Maybe sport isn't for you, eh or you should just flip and support the team that wins the most games each week - then you will at least not be so grumpy!
