The more I think about it, I think we should take El Khannouss away from Palace. I just don’t see these big money longshot moves for Paz or Akliouche making sense. They are both more ball carriers than passers.

Just feel we could get far more out of taking a chance on El Khannouss and having someone in the side who can spray the ball around off both feet. Would open up so many more avenues for attacking and we’d see the other players flourish.

Havertz knee injury is only 6 - 12 weeks.

They didn’t move for Eze because of the injury, it was always the plan. At this stage I honestly believe they set the hijack up on purpose as a power play. They saw an opportunity to humiliate their rivals and thought why not.

Of course it wasnt the reason they moved for him. People seemed to not realise at the time that they play in different positions!

We pay decent money. To say we don't is a fallacy, created in the minds of those who live in an anti-Levy world.

We beed to pay maybe more for the highest quality but players, like standard workers need to deserve their excessive wages.

What we need more than anything is to target the right players at the right time.

The likes of Eze, Isak, Bowen to an extent, to name but 3, we'e hardly bust the bank purchases when bought initially.

It's a mixture.
We don’t pay enough in wages to be in the mix for the title and pay the lowest %of revenue as wages in the PL

We remain 4-5 elite players short. And no surprise that our wage bill is that much behind our rivals who have the same / lower revenue.

It’s better than nothing. He has ability. And it would fuck over palace. El Khannouss plus Rodrygo on loan for a year

So true. Insane not to pay £68m for Eze Other clubs are ganging up and having a laugh at him now.
Perfect age, in his prime - on the verge of England etc. the only doubt is injuries but they can stabilise in mid 20’s.

Lunacy

Screw that teenage dweeb from Southampton, zero
Interest

Captain and talisman sold, Kulu out until 2026, Maddison finished…. Why on earth wouldn’t you fix it for 68M upfront?!!!

If Kulusevski is out till January, we should get both. I’d really like us to fuck Palace over.

BREAKING

There is interest internally at Spurs in Lamine Yamal. It's thought that a deal would be very difficult, but Spurs may test Barcelona with a bid and could reach out to his advisors first. A developing situation.

This ITK lark is a cinch :frankarms:

it's happening GIF

Its quite staggering to think for the bulk of the season we have 6 players to cover the front 4 positions. 2 of those are completely unproven kids and one chronically injury prone. Non league teams have more options than that.
Tel was a daft buy. Another frankly desperate “buy him because they will deal with me” purchase by Levy

Suppose that £30m plus wages had been there for Eze and Savinho ?

Same idiots who want “Donley” as first choice no10

All very sad as we are on the cusp of something very good under Frank

Oh yeah, what a load of idiots.
Wanting club to give at least some chance to academy players. Total fucking imbeciles, right!

Look, no one (literally have not seen one person here!) who would say that we should not have added more quality to the side within this window.
But considering everything I personally 100% would have preferred for him to stay and get few chances. He did play exceptionally well against ManCity for example last season.

Now given that everyone here except you are total dumbfucks, tell me as much - if Donley would have been kept in the main squad, would we have more options to use in AM position or not?

Even if we bring in a #10 (which given the amateur antics on the marker is not guaranteed), we would never buy 10 when we have two of them returning in new year. So I think he could have helped us a bit. And we could at least have this kind of hope that someone who came through our academy could prove himself for us. What is bad in hoping?!?

The endless overhyping anyone from our academy and our prospects is part of the problem.
