Yeah, imagine that! It would be like competing with Palace back in 2020 to sign Eze from QPR.So we are now competing with the likes of Palace and Leeds and Everton for players….

My only gripe was , ir was pretty obvious we were being pissed around, yet we look like mugs for being strung along
That would be very niceAgree. Eze is a Gooner, but the club need to bring in elite players asap.
Savinho, Paz and Akilouche would do nicely.
Don’t see us getting both Paz and Alikouche
Prob one and then Dibbling or BEK as the backup 10
Well, the last few years it has been to buy younger players with a mind for the future along with some more established players who, whilst certainly not elite, were meant to be able to provide Premier League level quality and hopefully make the step up to the next level.
It's as if Spurs have no understanding of how time impacts negotiations. What i don't like is the club let him or Palace string us along, we should have put the offer on the table and if the club & Player didn't accept it then we move on, start acting like a fucking big Club!
So why not meet the release clause? Why not bid higher? Were they blind to the risk? Why is he only worth £68m if Johnson was worth £50m odd?The transfer fee was agreed, Woolwich matched it for a player who used to play for them and wanted to join them rather than us.
The money both transfer fee and wages for the player was accepted by both parties.
Shit happens.
We move on.
Yep. We've had several Gooner fans that have played for us and given their all.Frank’s comments don’t fill me with hope.
I know he’s not exactly expected to say any different, but Levy will see it as an opportunity not to over spend …
I think we are still operating under the belief that the closer it gets to the end of the window , the better bargains we can get.....It's as if Spurs have no understanding of how time impacts negotiations.

Failure by club to do basic due diligence imho.Yeah. If we knew he was a filthy gooner and only wanted the goons then it was always going to be a waste of time
FFS. This club.Frank just now:
"We need to do everything we can to be as competitive as possible. I am confident we will sign a player before the end of the window. Two players in, two players out so probably a bit similar."
Doesn't sound good.
I agree completely with this. I don’t really care that we lost out on Eze. I’m more frustrated with the fact that it seems to take us a month to complete a transfer and other teams can turn it around in a week.Agreed.
But we've had months to find players that want to play for the club and improve the team.
Shoddy work by shoddy owners. We are 1 injury away from a worse team than the one that finished 17th last season. Yes they underperformed but still.
RIP Nuno. Thoughts and prayers. That’ll end well after the way he appears to have treated Nuno!
This is exactly why he was hired in the first place. It was implicitly agreed that Levy would be able to fuck him over and penny pinch and he’d be too professional to complain bc he’s used to a shoestring budget. Levy is pure evilFrank just now:
