Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Its actually a very positive piece.

Savinho apparently sold on the 'freedom and creativity' he would be given at spurs. Thats one of the reasons he hasn't flourished under pep so far, its too restraining and micro managed. Hes a flair player that creates chaos.

Also a mention that our win v city only strengthen his desire to move. And that we are apparently suprised at his level of desire to want to move to us.

Lastly, we would be prepared to break our transfer record (65m) to get him. If thats true then thats just about nearly city's 70m price.

What could possible go wrong?

We wont get many stabs at a player like this wanting to come to spurs whilst having a free run at him.

Get it done!

Maybe we’re not as attractive as you think we are?

But these clubs fail to do deals all the time.

Isak is a deal to be done. Have Liverpool just got it done?

Woolwich failed to get Gyokeres and Zubimendi last summer and had to wait 12 months to get them done.

Chelsea have failed to get Xavi Simons done despite him wanting to come all summer.

If you only compare our failures with other teams successes then of course it will look a certain way. But if you look at everything then the differences are not so great.

You just live and breathe every online windup merchant so end up on this rollercoaster for our transfers that really isn’t necessary.

Of course we are attractive, pay the money players will come.

You pick exceptions about other clubs failing to get players. Woolwich have signed Zubimendi after approaching him in January, 6 months. They also signed Eze, Gyokores, Madueke, they've had a great summer. Who can forget Rice for 100 million.

Chelsea will get Simons this week and practically always get who they want. Liverpool also pretty much always get what they want. You are talking about Isak, he's a very specific hard deal to do. That isn't the rule for them it's the exception. They signed Wirtz and Ekitike for fuck sake.

You aren't proving the case you think you are, and you're being very dishonest by trying to make out like our rivals are as pathetic in the market as we are, they aren't. They are ambitious. We aren't.

It also has nothing to do with "online wind up merchants", I am talking about many years of proven incompetence and fiscal impotence in the transfer market by Levy, who are you kidding trying to deny this isn't the case?

I was feeling positive too then I read the dreaded phrase: “Spurs just need to come up with the money”
:levysad:

Club seems to have picked the perfect manager, fair play

I just hope this time it can get him a team that can compete across 4 competitions. We probably only need 2/3 top players as well.

please just this once complete the team. It could be a great season if we do.

I reckon the club is refusing to sign any more players until Shadydan Shadydan returns to the forum
He'll be back in no time after Levy lucks out on a decision again. He's still trying to figure out how to spin this transfer window clusterfuck into something positive...
