Just watching 5 mins of Newcastle vs Liverpool.
Utterly 1 sided in favour of Newcastle. Then Liverpool just smash one in from range.
Anyway, what struck me was how average their bench looks.

That bench for Liverpool is nowhere near as rich as the likes of PSG or City.
Arses yesterday wasn't exactly glittering tbh.

I feel similar. They simply have a really good blend of players, or did have.

This being more slots team this season im actually not convinced they have spent that well tbh. Bad choice of fullbacks purchased imo.
And yes the bench is a little light. I think they are only missing frimpong?

Not going anywhere

Players are willing to move to Saudi and even Newcastle for big wages.

Of course.

A Como player and assuming we are interested,we can't secure his services. 20 is too young to do demonstrable damage in the PL but if we were interested we still couldn't get it done.

Watch a n other team take him. It's also amazing how many Woolwich folk can get in our way. Where are the Spurs advocates?

Utter shocker of a window.

Oucha. Thats gonna sting for rodrygo and savinho.
Both will have limited playing time at their clubs also.

As it stands. Somethings gotta give, Shirley.

Edit, no vini jnr either. I think anchelotti may be giving others a chance.
Vini is suspended for the first game, and they play the 2nd game against Bolivia away (highest altitude for a Stadium I think). 0 reason to call him with nothing to play for.

Genuinely seems like our best chance is Paqueta throwing a strop and refusing to play for Potter or something. Then we can give them Bissouma and do a cut price deal

It’s very obvious that any player who’s favoured by their club and doesn’t NEED to sell won’t be coming here for anything less than a huge fee. Actually I think that’s the only chance we get Savinho too, if he kicks off and tells City he wants out.

Neither likely to happen but that’s unfortunately about the best we can do at this stage. We essentially need a club to be forced to sell.

Paqueta would be a fantastic purchase for us, especially if we can swap out Bissouma as part of the fee.

I mean, he never lacked effort in my opinion. But he does look like he needs a change of environment, and Richy would help him a lot in that regard here. As I said, it might soften the blow of MGW and Eze a bit, but it sure as hell doesn’t cancel it as I think he’s just not as good as those 2. He’s slightly below that level of player in my opinion, but he might be a better fit for us than Eze in the sense that he’s looks more involved defensively (MGW just looks a better Paqueta in my opinion though). Let’s say that a front 4 of Savinho - Paqueta - Richarlison - Kudus, while not elite and doesn’t have a superstar name, does look quite functional.
Paqueta is a strange one. People claiming he is below Eze and MGW 2years ago Pep had a contract worth 80 million for him signed off. He could have gone for Gibbswhite but saw Paqueta as the better player. Then the betting story broke. He is a Brazilian international still, I think he can be just as good as MGW if his head is sorted. I think Frank could reboot him successfully I think we should try our options have narrowed.

Wouldn't be totally sold on Paqueta but looks like any signing is going to be a bit of a gamble as we can't attract the best and as has being said our league position last year seriously damaged our credibility, we must address that this season and hopefully make us a credible option in the future .

Who cares, the fact it’s been an absolutely terrible window for us even without looking at it in the context of what other dreams are doing
It’s terrible regardless of what last minute over priced players we bring in. If we were a serious club we would have got our players in in June / July. Not fannying around like desparate prossies. I know guehi wants pool but why not go to palace 4 weeks ago put down £40M take it leave. Why pay £60M for the lad from bayer. Or going for tabsoba if we really want a CB.
