Look up G/A per minute from last season for Richy. He's quietly been very good when he's played. Fitness is his biggest concern. Infact, compare their G/A over their entire PL careers and Richy blows him out of the water, and spent a large majority of that time not as a 9.

I too don't think he'll start favourites thank God, but when we play Dom, we're playing a striker that a midtable side would play, out ambition is 'to win the league's apparently, he's well short of that.

Even when he has chances, you never back him to score, it was a blind panic and it won't be til next season before the club reassess the situation because of the money spent.

Richy will score you goals as a CF but his all round play has been pretty shoddy despite that - I had grown tired of watching him fumble his way around the pitch by last last season despite his respectable goal return as a CF.

Either way I think you're reading too much in to Frank's comments - Richy is the one in possession of the starting shirt as things stand - i don't think he is saying he sees him as the defacto first choice CF for the season. It can and will change throughout

They would absolutely sign both if it meant fucking us up the ass sideways.
Pretty sure they'd just be fucking themselves if they did that.

As it stands they'd be signing Simons to sit on the bench because there's no way he starts over Palmer. Are they really going to spend £120m on two players to sit on the bench behind him?

The scary thing is I genuinely don't know. Chelsea are doing some weird shit.

I never said he was a good player.

I said he hasnt played enough for anyone to know.

You are the only one claiming to know something here.
He's played enough that he should've shown flashes at least. Odobert has shown glimpses of being a good player, needs to do it more regularly, but this guy had a half season, got significant minutes, was dreadful, beyond dreadful even, and then cost the guts of £40m!!

This is the issue. Not you wet wipes getting upset that we all hate him. We don't, I don't give a shit about him he's a player like Gil that will be bounced around forever and gone on a free. That's what I take issue with.

It's not just me, it's everyone that seemingly isn't a Levy cuck. It was a terrible use of resources and signing him has made us absolutely no better. We need players for now, not players for the future, or at least of they're for the future, be able to play football, because so far, this guy has been a non-factor.

I can see us getting Savinho on loan and paying some stupid loan fee of around 5/10m.

City are just afraid to lose him and he turns into another Cole Palmer. They don't need him now and he'll get little mins with them this year. Savinho needs mins to make the world cup squad. Its a win win for everyone. They'll put an option to buy at around 70m but City will make sure they get the last say. It'll be like the Tel deal.

It's typical Levy. I can smell it and tbh it's probably not the worst scenario right now.

I think we took him off Bayern to oil the cheap fee for Paulinha and clearing the Kane debt .I think it had little directly to do with what Frank needed. He likes Richy and knows Solanke is solid. Any way work in the AM night lads.

In a team that Ange setup poorly

Do you understand football at all? Or what the word context means and how to apply it to a situation outside of your own inflated opinion?
I understand it plenty, thank you. He has a goal in 1 in 4 PL games.

BJ scored lots of goals from crosses, but this guy can't get ever get into position, and when he does, he tends to miss. Infact, he underperformed his XG by 3.42, so there's proof of that.

Context is that he had one anomaly of a season, we were backed into a corner and overspent on a very average striker. Look down the league from 1st down last season and he gets into Everton as a starting striker at 13th position. That's quality that mate.

What sort of metrics are you going to come back with, or is more of the same hyperbole that you usually come out with.

You don't fool me like you do others here. You're not as smart as you think you are, you move goal posts every time, change topics, give ifs and buts. You say he was in a 'broken' system last year. We scored 5 less goals than the winners, so putting the ball in the net wasn't an issue and he had plenty of chances to score. Your revisionism changes nothing.

Your last paragraph doesn't really track for me.... why would they have that assumption when even a modest amount of research, of which they absolutely have the resources to do, would show them otherwise.

The idea the club would invest 30M on an assumption that Tel would appease the fans is really out there man.
That's because I phrased it unclearly.

"We" isn't the fans, "we" is Spurs.

The club hierarchy did not imagine Tel as an unused substitute when that purchase was finalized, both Lange and Ange had sold him as an immediate regular contributor, which he was as a loanee last season.

They thought he was a player Frank, or any manager, would be eager to use. That was incorrect.

Goal involvement every 180 mins in the prem last year.

Well our new flawless genius who will never disappoint us is setting up the team without Solanke in it, so......

He is an all round better footballer than Dom, who just runs. Do I think Richy is elite? Far from it, I think our striking options are a joke, but with the money spent on Dom, the club were never going to address it this summer.

A player who literally signed a new deal 6 weeks ago!
