Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We clearly think we can do something with him, he’s only 20.

At 22, Mo Salah went to Chelsea where he scored 2 in 13, previously he was at Basel where scored 9 in 47. In 2015 he went to Fiorentina on loan and scored 6 in 16 and then to Roma and scored 29 in 65. Aged 25 he moved to Liverpool and so far has scored 185 in 290….

Lets see👍👍

Agree, we clearly signed him because we think he has the potential to be a £100 million player and elite. He's still really young.

He does have a lot of potential. He's just so very raw, and the issue is, can we give him enough minutes, without it affecting our results if he isn't doing the business.

We just really need him to take his opportunity, get a goal and kick on.

Overall even with injuries to a few players over the coming months our squad looks able on levels that also allow for rotation.

Key to it will be how quickly Xavi can settle and that LW. Odobert and Tel have a huge opportunity in the next few months to stake a claim.
In what universe does Udogie deserve to start, especially ahead of Djed?

Are Wilson and Tel actually better than Solomon? Those two can hardly shot but I have seen Solomon band some in. Just saying.
Not sure about now but I think they both will be. Both still developing and have shown promise in the France U21 games I've seen. Like with a few of the other young players I think Tel needs a bit of coaching from Frank to get the best out of him and we've not really seen it yet with us.

I would promote him exactly for those reasons - whip up the left wing loons

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Someone wishes well for a player that was contracted to Spurs and you go full ballistic and then follow up with totally out of-thin-air comparisons with Sons and Bissoumas and whatever? Get yourself checked out :D .

I think it is OK to wish well on players that were/are related to Spurs. I wish Gil well too, even though he did not work out well with us. Whats bad in that?

Manor did fuck all for us, not sure he's done anything to deserve well wishes and good luck messages.

Nothing football-related anyway.

Of course, always the possibility he could turn into a Mo Salah. We'd all love that, obviously.

But I doubt we bought him for his potential...well, that it was the primary reason. It's more about his fee, which was taken out of what Bayern still owed us for Harry, and his wages.

We're a reactive operator when it comes to transfers, and we're all about opportunities and deals our beloved chairman thinks he can win. The quality of the player and his impact on the team come second.

Oi, I quite like going to Rayo Vallecano games 😂😂
I haven't been for some time but me too. My brother-in-law lives about 10 minutes from the ground, we keep meaning to go together.

It's the hipster thing I can't stand, the "Oh, they're so working-class left-wing, so progwessive" thing.

I could equally have gone with FC St. Pauli.

Oh for sure, they are a massive cunt magnet

Number of times I’ve heard a tourist type like that say “and I even got a ticket with the ultras”

Just fuck off, please

The incomings are pretty good, Kudus and Simon's are terrific signings. A couple of decent loans as well with Palinha and Muani. Unfortunate with Savinho, really did try for him.

Outgoings were pretty ordinary, not many sales, mostly loans.

Frank has been backed in the window imo. Hopefully he is up to it.

What a weird transfer window that was. Some properly exciting signings and it doesn't seem to scream much in the way of a data led approach.

The lows (MGW and Eze) were properly low.

The high (Simons) was incredibly high.

It's a solid 7/10 window for me.

I was a painful window in many ways. If it were the days of finding out we’d signed someone by picking up a paper or reading it on teletext we’d think we had a great window and everything went amazingly. Trouble is today with 24 hour news, journalists wanting to be first with news without sourcing it, bullshitters, made up itks and the constant misquoting of aggregators it makes the window so stressful.

We are provided with too much information, both true and mostly false. It’s exhausting and hard to escape from.

I would have liked another centre back in and also for Maddison not to have got injured. I think we should have also tried to swap out Richy for another striker despite his current form (eg. Wissa). Probably too much for us to do but not impossible.
