Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

the days of finding out we’d signed someone by picking up a paper or reading it on teletext we’d think we had a great window

I miss those days tbh. It was always like Xmas day when the paper arrived and we’d signed someone exciting. I might be in a minority but social media and technology has kind of ruined the magic for me and with it, that real hope that the signed player would be a game changer for us.
Now, you only have to do a quick YouTube search for a compilation to decide they’re either mustard or merde.

I have the same feeling. Good striker for sure but way overpriced!

Not even close to the likes of Haaland, Aguero, Kane, Drogba,...
I'd agree with that. Though, I haven't really watched Drogba much. And Aguero. But Kane is better. And Haaland is of course better. I think that Aguero is probably much better too, but I really haven't watched him almost at all. Nor Drogba. So IDK.

Isak will score 20+ league goals
I doubt it. And how many will Salah score? Isak might score much but that will have to come at the expense of others like Salah and Gakpo. If Isak scores 20+ goals in the Premier League that would be a beyond-world amazing season for him. Again, I vvveeeeery highly doubt it. He barely scored that much at Newcastle where he was on the receiving end of every Newcastle ball that entered the opposition box. Took penalties and was their be all and end all. At Liverpool he will be just another brick in the wall.

Meh, no idea what this has to be with my post - youre one of the least objective posters on here so i dont really respect your opinions on things mate.

sorry.
Don't be sorry I accidentally tagged you because of the blizzard of people on ignore. Its a site functionatality flaw. Be so much better if they simply didn't show at all. And as I have zero respect for almost everything you have ever said ( hence the long standing ignore) we have a moments wonderful consensus. Back on you go, my bad. Ange in.

Hahahha, again what? How is that checkup of yours going :D ?

He is a player that signed for Spurs. He is contracted to us. He played few times. Then became surplus.

But I mean, I wish good luck to people that haven't played a single minute for Spurs to. Or any football at all in their life.
Might wish you that as well if you would behave like a normal human being :D !

Check-up? Don't be a cunt.

I hope he does well but only so we get a good fee for him next summer.

One of the most pointless signings in our recent history.

Objectively speaking we need to sell Solomon. He's been a crap transfer. Came in a political shit storm leaves in a similar one, two assits in a game we'd win anyway. If he was in any way good enough to let his football do the talking he'd be playing. I fear Tel, Solomon they are important indicators of Turkey Buzzard like opportunism and none of the phantom BS data driven focus. Davies, Tel, Solomon, Dragusin, Scarlett, Johnson , Lange none currently fit for purpose or up to where we aspire to be.

He was bought to sell . Opportunistic signing by Daniel due to the Ukraine war. Thought we would have got 10-15m for him. Might do well for Villarreal to put his price up.
This was always my take and forget what's happened subsequently it always felt wrong. Its why I want him sold its poor optics. I think it's frustrating how the club can't 'feel' this stuff. Furlough, Gattuso, elderly concessions. Its some of my big gripes about our owners.

You might have missed it, but last season we fought for and attained glory whilst Woolwich won the 'best team in europe' sash and city won the charity friendly.
I rest my case. Extremely proud of winning a second tier cup while loosing 22 League games. It is definitely more rewarding to win 6 or 7 Europa cup games and lose 22 League games that to win 20 league games and 6 or 7 Champions League Games, and lose 4 league games.

I Bet you are Whiz at Math.

On the paper it looks good but It's far too early to rate this summer TW already after just 3 EPL games. 3 of the 1st team players Spurs bought haven't even played a game for Spurs.

GK: Farren Doran

RC:
Kota Takai, Kevin Danso

DM: João Palhinha
OM: Xavi Simons, Max McFadden,

LF: Mathys Tel
CF: Randal Kolo Muani, Oliver Boast, Conall Glancy
RF:, Mohammed Kudus

It’s too early but also hindsight ratings are nonsense as well
