Exactly, especially if we have no Europe, our squad is wayyyy too big.
Itll be made more tough by the fact a few of the players we would like want to move on have had serious knee injuries like Dragusin and Gil.
We also have a bunch of younger players on loan we need to decide what to do with like Vuksovic, Donley, Philips, Dorrington etc plus we need to decide what to do with Tel.
As it stands our squad going into next season will be -
outs due to loan/contracts ending - Tel (do we buy) werner, Forster, Davies, Whiteman, reguilion
Players on loan well want to sell - Gil (knee injury) Solomon - easily sellable, Veliz ( tough sell)
Loan players to decide what to do with - Phillips, Devine, Donley, Yang Min hyeok, Scarlett (not on loan but do we keep), Craig, Abbot and Keeley
Players with 2 years left, we might need to sell or sign them to a new contract in Son (is he past it also) Bissouma, Bentacur, Players like Romero and Richarlison who want out/ have 3 years left.

32 players, not including some of the other youngsters, so if we have no Europe that is a way too big squad. Its likely going to reduce down as Keeley will go out on Loan, Same with Philips, devine also, Solomon will be sold, veliz will be sold or loaned, gil will be sold or loaned, so we will be down to 26.
Some huge decisions to be made on Son, Richie, Bissouma, maybe even Kulu who there is a lot of noise around at the moment. I would expect to see Richie go, one of biss/benta go, Im expecting us to sing Tel and Cardoso, so we are likely net at 25 with the new squad below

With those two Sigings which I am expecting tel to cost 30, cardso is 22, Danso 20 (obligation) so spend of 72, with the outs of Richie (I've read 40m everton and Saudi), Biss 20m, 20 solomon then we have -8 net spend. We absolutely need a LB which is the only business I can see us doing with out a lot more outs.
Then I think further business is reliant on more outs, does son go (last time to cash in on a player in decline) we then need to work out if we have enough forwards, likely need one more, which would need to be a ready to go player for now not another future talent but I am expecting it to be a dibbling or a cherki type who can cover RW, LW and 10. Well have a very young winger collection if we do, but without Europe it is probably
Does Benta and romero also want out given athletico want them? If do, we will definitely need another CB as dragusin cant be relied upon with his ACL, and I would be tempted to loan him and buy or loan in a RCB backup with an option to buy, do we consider Sarr and Bergvall sufficient 8 Coverage should benta leave also? If Kulu goes, is Donley enough back up, can he adapt to the prem, can say a dibbling/cherki signing cover 10? If Richie goes do we consider a Striker signing, or is tel the back up, but say a Delap kind of signing for cheap makes sense, Could we use Veliz in the deal as make weight?

I'd absolutely do a Cherki signing and a top class winger but it wont happen. IF we have champs league then it is a different story and I could see us splashing out on a top RW, but also signing a Cherki and a Delap (who I think will go to Chelsea), A Lb to actually compete with Udogie and a higher quality CB (if romero goes) and the other outs happen.
That's why we will have plenty of money to spend, we have lots to sell.
Big problem is, we might have a new manager, we have a new CEO not starting until July, then there is Paratici. Doesnt give us much time to do a lot of work unless they all are doing it behind closed doors before they join.

Dude, take your Spurs coloured glasses off... you are making up transfer fees.
Tel is 50m (that's the price Bayern have set), we don't have to pay it but I doubt Bayern accept anything less than 45m especially as they still owe us money on Kane. The Cardoso fixed agreement is 25m, Danso is 20m so in total this lot will cost us 90m. There is not a hope in hell of us getting 40m for Richarlison... we will be lucky to get 25m, Soloman will be around 15m and then the only other player we are likely to sell will be Romero at around 60m. In total, that's around 100m so 10m profit which will be used to pay off our net transfer debt which stands at 230m. If you want any other players in, then be prepared to let your valuable assets leave... e.g. Porro 35-40m, Vicario 20-25m. I am hoping we can mug off some middle east club to buy Son for a ridiculous fee. Every other club does this except us.
We're not doing a lot unless ENIC put some of their own money in, which is most unlikely. I think we'll sell Romero, Richarlison, and Solomon. Buy Tel, Cardoso, Danso and I think Vuskovic is already paid for.

With Paratici likely to come back in I suspect that we will be clever on the loan market for some veteran presence to complement the younger squad members. And we will likely target some free agents, which is a decent class this summer tbf.
