I don’t get the Tel signing at all. If money is tight why we blowing ~£50M on him when we may as just honour and get an eze or mbeuno. It doesn’t make sense. Tel has not shown enough for me when he has the ball. Not seem blistering pace or great skill with the ball.
Not bad but again what is this thing about Tel. We just don’t need him. Tbh Solomon would probably be better than him and he cost nothing. We also have Moore who we really should be developing and Yang. If we get Tel where is their pathway to first team. We need to use the money much better.

£45M on Tel is madness when we have to be clever with our money. Like I have said in other posts we have enough young wide players already. Signing Tel will be on par with Timo loan but worse financially as it will be £50M plus the loan. No wonder we are where are after spending so much money on forwards. Yet we still have a mid table / champo forward line.We have a large net transfer debt of over £250m. It's likely we'll need to sell before we buy. We have an obligation to buy Danso for about £20m, but we're also going to receive about £17m on Holbjerg from Marseille because of their obligation to buy.

I forgot to mention in the post you quoted that we can also make a bit on Gil and PEH, I reckon about £30/35m for both PEH is on an obligation for Marseille to buy at about £17m.
I agree though that we need Eze or someone that can rotate with Maddison more than we need Tel.
Eze is 26 and Mbeumo is 25. Tel is 20. We are building something that will mature in the next 2-3 years into a winning side. That is the project, which is why I don't think Levy will pull the trigger on Ange even if we lose the final.
Eze and Mbeumo would be pieces to add for a team that wants to win now.
