We need both.

We don’t have enough general play wingers, the type who are elite at pressing, ball retention and linking. The Bernardo Silva’s of this world.

City have load of them like Doku, Grealish, Bernardo Silva, Salvinho but lack a goal scoring winger so bought Marmoush.

Son and Johnson are our scorers but we need the likes of Odobert and Tel to step up and become our Bernardo Silva. That’s where we lack.

A balanced front 3 for me is

General play winger
Striker
Goal scoring wide forward

We’ve just given ourselves one last chance to keep ourselves at the top table and not slip to an Everton/West Ham level side, Levy needs to push the boat out this summer and take full advantage of that. There’s good players there that can be part of this new era, but we are still so short in some areas.

RB - KWP (Free) is an obvious, if uninspiring signing, due to his club trained status. Spence is more than capable of being our backup LB.

LCB - Someone like Hancko would be great, but would he come in to play second fiddle to VDV? Esteve at Burnley might be the one here (£25m)

DM - Cardoso (£25m) is a no brainer at that price, showed up in a lot of big games for Betis and has a lot of the qualities we’re missing.

CM - Samuele Ricci (£30/35m) Paratici likes him, hopefully he can help us steal a match on the Serie A sides like Milan and Napoli who are after him. Was the second best player in Europe in terms of ball retention under pressure which is exactly what we need. Looks like he’s big and strong enough to handle the Premier League

RW - Mbeumo (£60m) no brainer if we can get him. A position we’ve struggled in for years and he’s ready to come in and hit the ground running.

LW - Eze (£60m) Another no brainer if we can do it. Has always screamed a Tottenham player for me.

ST - Delap (£30m) got to be having the conversation with his people at that price. Him and Solanke would be great competition for each other, and he could easy be our striker for the next 10 years

I’ve quoted the prices that have been reported on these guys. I’ve no idea what wages they’d command but we need to start acting like big club now and get the players in that are gonna retain our top 6 status. £230m or so, a lot of money but with CL and some smart sales, it’s doable and massively improves us.

Bissouma is going no where , we are finally starting to see the player we all thought we were signing, No way we sell him, Sonny now he has his trophy might want to cash in and move to Saudi for a few years and if he does I wouldn't blame him at all!
Maddision , no one is paying any kind of money for as he is to Injury prone.
 
Our starting 11 spots for forward spots (and one starting level creative 10) followed by backups for defense, has to be priority. That was our glaring weakness this season.

Lots of really excellent senior wingers in the prem to go for (from both elite teams and outside the top 6).

Defense we need another wingback up in the mold of Spence, and a LCB.

CAM would Eze be able to play that role and be creative enough?

Bissouma, Kulu, bentancur, Dragusin, Tel, Odebert all need a very good season to justify their contracts

Son stays as a special case - probably my heart talking!
