Gnabry - 30 years old. Out of contract in summer. Still banging in goals. If Tel goes on loan; this could be a tempting last-minute deal. Low fee and a 2 year deal could be shrewd business.
 
Well, we seemed to be linked to a whole bunch of mediocre players, you know, the exact same type we keep buying that has taken us lower and lower in the table.

Dear ENIC - Go figure out a strategy where you show some ambition, so the quality players don't keep wanting to leave (VdV better not be going anywhere), and new quality players would consider joining us.

So far, you are doing the opposite, so just try that, the exact opposite of everything you are currently doing. Might just work.
 
I'm pretty resigned to the club not doing huge business this window, and tbh I'm OK with that provided we do actually go big in the summer.

We're at a stage where we need quality over quantity and it's much harder to get the former in the January window. And even if we do have a giant warchest or [insert other cliche tabloid transfer term] we're not like City who can just drop 60m and offer silly wages to get any player they want like they did with Marmoush, Gonzalez and Khusanov last Jan - none of which have really made any impact for them anyway and kinda look like panic buys on reflection.

Once the whole managerial situation is confirmed we do need to go really big this summer, though. That's the window I'll judge the new board on and whether their money really is where their mouth is. Top new striker, top winger, top CM (ideally 2) and ideally a new keeper. That's what the squad needs.

Swear our fans are bound to a life of mediocrity just because our good players have become rightly dissalousioned with life at Spurs as if selling them will suddenly make us better.
