An absolute no brainer for me. Miles better than any other midfielder we have currently.
Edit (Winter 25/26)
Adding a couple of defenders. Castillo Lukeba (22yo RBL) left footed LCB who can cover LB. V. Quick, passing not outstanding but very comfortable bringing the ball out with pace - perfect cover for VDV. Bit raw but potential. Schlotterbeck (Dortmund) left ft, LCB. Also forgot to add Baleba over from the summer edit.

I don't think the agent will be setting the price that Ederson is sold for
100% but ironically I think we might be ok. I watched Gyökeres alot when he had huge supporters on here. And I was pretty quickly certain his advantages would NOT scale up to the EPL. Watching this lad though seven years younger, and less prolific I think he will end up a better EPL forward. He's quicker overall both short and long sprints. He can head and be a threat in both boxes. As one of two forwards with losses cut on Richarlison and possibly Tel. Okay. But we can get better and it should be our aim.

I don’t think he’s saying he is, he’s probably been instructed by the club to put his price out there to find a buyer since his client’s in the last 18 months of his contract

If we wait till he does move the needle at 23-24 then he’ll be out of reach. He’s doing impressive things for his age.
He’s not really my ideal type of striker. Would prefer someone smooth and silky around the box, but if he keeps maturing in the next few years Samu could be physically dominant even in the PL.

problem is that the two people who brought most of those players to this club are the ones who will have to replace them
Which you have absolutely zero chance of doing. Half of them out would be an achievement the way we operate.
The only way to improve is to spend what it takes to get proven quality. Start with the central midfield, then left wing. No more youth players, Juventus castaways or contracts situations where "deals can be done".
