Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I like Bassey, but everything else you said is a special kind of madness sauce. I understand your frustrations with VDV's perceived petulance but I wouldn't swap him for anyone else in the prem, let alone sodding Bassey. VDV bails us out game after game, largely because Romero has once again given up on defending, plus he's a unique threat when the opportunity presents itself. Everyone sitting here casually swapping him away for x amount and x player is going to be routinely buggered by the mess that will be thrust upon us if/ when he leaves
You're thinking of Daddy Ben.

VDV is our number 2 defender after him though.

Add Maddison, Kulusevski, Solanke, Kudus and Vuskovic to our squad and I'd say it is a very good squad. Last year we had no senior defenders. This year we have no senior forwards.
He said ''the squad is great, the players are great'' seems like an inclusive statement to me.

We do have senior forwards we have the great Muani, and the even greater Richarlison.

If you think a great or 'very good' squad falls to 14th in the league because of injuries to Maddison, Kulusevski, and the hit man himself Solanke, then that's fine but I disagree.

Either the squad is sub-par or Frank is incompetent at this level of club, but Frank thinks the squad is great, therefore the issue is Frank by his own admission.

You are basically proving my point, it's not just about being 6ft tall you are dead right about that but it definitely about core strength as you put it.
To make it in the premier League imo you have to be physically strong in most cases or amazingly technical.
Not many physically weak players succeed in the EPL in 2026

I think Stiller is pretty amazing technically. His passing stats and general stats on the ball are outstanding. Which is exactly what we lack, we have plenty of midfielders who are good off the ball to make up for his lack of physicality.

Gallagher, Palhinha, Sarr, Bergvall etc. can all carry the piano, Stiller will play it.

Dream: Louis Campos
Alternative: Geoffrey Moncada

LF
Choice 1.Diomandé
2.Malik Fofana

MF
1. Anderson
2. Lemine Camara/Ibrahim Sangare/Djaoui Cissé
Bustin a move for Anderson and Diomande would be epic, but a little too unbelievable given we’re Spurs/ENIC. Maybe if we offer £100m rising to £120m over 5years, with £50m to £70m for Diomande the yearly amount might be achievable if the £150m injection was true, can dream.

Would like Scott still, if we only have £40m range dough for MF as I don’t watch enough other than Spurs these years. He’s Spurs and we need a bit of that, someone you know will be putting it all out there to ensure the fans love him…

There better me more incomings or it is this just another fabled warchest window. As it stands with Johnson out and Gallagher and Souza in its about a 15m spend, with the team at its news. Still plenty of time for the Lewis family to prove they mean business.

As long as it is not notabadsquad then almost anyone will do
Think Sangare might be realistic but only summer if Forest bomb out. Not sure how he’d blend with Gallagher and Co.

Do have intermittent concern notabadsquad might some days be a few marbles short, but he’s Spurs so we are all abit demented too often these days.

Yildiz and Wharton for me as a dream ending to the window. Not likely, I know.

Samu in the summer.

Vicario / Kinsky

Spence / Porro
Romero / Vuskovic
Van de Ven / Danso
Udogie / Souza

Gallagher / Sarr
Wharton / Bergvall

Kudus / Kulusevski
Maddison / Simons
Yildiz / Odobert

Samu / Solanke

Doubt we’ll be in Europe. This should be good enough domestically.

Get rid of Dragusin, Bentancur, Richarlison.

Don’t bother with Palhinha and Muani.

Loans for Gray and Tel.

That would be a bit of a dream squad but I think the midfield balance is off there.

Sarr, Gallagher and Bergvall all basically running, pressing box-to-box guys, with only Wharton as the passer (and not super defensively strong). I'd be minded to sell Sarr and get in another CM of a different profile that complements the others and could cover at 6 or play alongside Wharton in games where we need to be more defensively solid.

Obviously we're almost certainly not gonna get Wharton, but I think the same applies for whoever we bring in to do that role. I'd really like to see us buy 2 new CMs in the summer/this window and properly revamp the midfield.

Adeyemi and porto striker added would be a wow transfer window for me. Might have to do our main transfers in january moving forward as in summer the cash flash clubs do their business.
A speed merchant with consistent muscle fiber injuries who can't hit a cross and best suited for a counter-attacking team, and a 21yo banging them in for a year in Primeira Liga whose previous club Atletico (not Madrid) own 50% of any future transfer fee (meaning we'd overpay by a margin, especially after donkey Gyokeres transfer).

It's definitely a WOW transfer window, but not how I imagine most of us would hope for... :davieshmm:
