4 on 2 but apparently we didn’t create a chance to score because it wasn’t a tap in
 
We created a lot more chances yesterday
Clear cut or not they were still good chances and more than in previous games
What I also noticed was there was bodies in the box.

V Brighton , Davies was trying to cross into the box but only Ndombele was in the box
V West Brom , Dacies was trying to cross and we had 3 or 4 players

Good inentions lead to goal scoring opportunities.
 
All this talk of tactics and chances, why is no one talking about that shocking strip they turned up in? Surely they should be docked points for that, or at least reported to the crown prosecution service for crimes against good taste.
Vile, awful and offensive assault on the visual senses.
I can feel myself getting in touch with my inner Quentin Crisp.

We went far too defensively vs Brighton. We gave up control of the midfield and that cost us.

Yesterday the balance was perfect. We didn’t need 2 defence minded midfielders. Ndombele was capable of doing both jobs, and Lamela is great at the pressing game.

Against the likes of Man City and Liverpool I expect us to have a bit more of a defence minded approach, but against anyone else we should be going for the throat. We have the players for it.

Yeah although I'm not sure we could be that open v the likes of United , Chelsea and Leicester either.

Not sure though. Want to see how this team evolves.

Saying that Poch would be able to play other top 6 teams at their own game. Its different under Mourinho. The pragmatic approach works sometimes but we cannot constantly be out-possessed every game by teams around us.

I think that had more to do with WBA than it did with us. You could see in the 2nd half when they started putting even just a little pressure on us we couldn't do anything against them.

I hope that this shows a change in tactics but the 2nd half leaves some concerns and Jose's past of folding anytime there is pressure on us and changing us back to super negative football is also concerning.
